How does this review work:I'll be going into four 'main' topics: Cheatsheet, Content, Presentation and What can be Improved?. All of these topics alone can turn a great guide into an even better one. Just knowing the ins and outs of your champion alone won't be enough if you're not able to properly convey said information. The end goal is always to make it easier for the readers that come to your guide of course.I'll specify these main categories with purple text within this review, as well as some subcategories which will mostly depend on your guide chapters and for that I'll use the following rating system:

>Runes: Adequate

Statistics show that her most popular items to run are Locket of the Iron Solari into Thornmail coupled with Steelcaps/Mobi's for boots. Within your recommended items you're showing something completely different, being Evenshroud into swifties. How come? Along with that statistics also show that Knight's Vow is picked a lot more for a 3rd item than Abyssal Mask or Anathema's Chains would be. How come? What makes the items you've picked better than the most popular items currently run by most players playing Leona?

Your first rune page's notes for "Engage Tank" are horrible, this is obviously not meant to be rude but that's what it is. You explain in your notes about alternative runes that you can pick, yet nowhere do you explain the purpose and advantages of the current runes you have. Why should people pick other runes if this is supposed to be the "actual rune page"? Why is this "actual rune page" and your personal favorite page, the best page to run? I'd advise to potentially make the notes a slight more concise if you can, and then include some notes at the top that explains why each rune in this page helps you when playing Leona.

The notes for your second page "Crowd Control" is a lot better, try to make all your notes this way. You're completely free to include what other alternative runes can be good for the current page, but make sure you explain why the page (as it is) is even relevant, picked (and popular) in the first place.

Your 3rd rune page is very clear when it should be picked (for late teamfights where the game essentially stalls to 40-50+ mins). However, none of the other pages are all that clear when they should be picked. For me as a reader, when and why should I pick each page? When is each page stronger than the others, and for what team comps or purposes?

The last page for On-hit is complete int and not remotely viable. It's fine to include but it's not a good page by any means. Also the same problems with the notes as before where they're too short and does not explain anything whatsoever.

>Summoner Spells: Adequate

Your notes here are way too short, I'm all in for being concise but not that much. The standard spells can definitely be made more detailed, explain why these spells are the most popular choice. "Standard spells for you as support" is terrible, this does not explain anything. Why are they standard? To be aggressive? To poke? To all-in? To show threat in lane? This can be explained.

The notes for the 2nd spells, whilst they explain the purpose of the spells, they're a bit short and can be made more detailed. As for the last spells with Heal, the notes are more or less confusing to read. Just explain within the notes that these are only really ever picked if your ADC is running any other spells aside from Heal - this is the only reason you're the bearer of this spell instead.

>Items: Decent

Your notes for the starter items don't explain anything. Why are these the starters for Leona? What does Steel Shoulderguards help with, and why? Also worth noting that the Relic Shield start is picked way more than shoulderguards (~80% more over 500k+ games), though is not explained at all here. What makes shoulderguards better than relic, even though relic is picked more and is more popular?

For mythics I wonder about how good Shurelya's Battlesong or Radiant Virtue is here. These are 2 mythics that are picked way more than 3 of the ones you've chosen ( Heartsteel, Iceborn Gauntlet + Jak'Sho, The Protean) and with better winrates. Why aren't these included? Are these any good? Locket and Evenshroud are obvious picks as to why they're good on Leona, but your explanations for the other 3 options aren't really sufficient enough for them to be relevant picks in my opinion.

Your "Core Items" are great, but the notes again does not explain why we as readers "want these every single game". Why are these good? And, if they are indeed so good, how come one of the items ( Anathema's Chains) aren't even picked nor a popular item choice from most people currently playing Leona? Why do we need these items.

Could include that Thornmail is relevant vs AD as well due to the armor it provides.

I don't like your notes for your boots. Readers don't want to go further down to find information they could have otherwise gotten faster. Most people just want quick information before their game starts, if their game goes well, they'll likely come back to your guide to read the rest. Make use of your notes here to explain each purpose of the boots, only a few sentences are necessary to accomplish this.

Much like with your Thornmail I believe you should break apart all the other situational items you've got into individual ones as well. This makes it easier to explain each purpose for each item with your notes instead of it all being crammed into a massive note for seemingly no reason (not to mention that your current notes for these are also terrible as they're once again not explaining anything).

Your notes for trinkets are again referring people downwards when 2-3 sentences could have already explained the use and purpose of these 3 trinkets and control wards.

I believe (personally) for the standard full builds, just include one for each mythic choice you've got. Don't include more than what is necessary, it's not needed to clutter the cheatsheet and make it more confusing than what it's able to help (e.g. you have 2 full builds using Iceborn Gauntlet - even though statistics show this is one of the worst mythics and is picked the least). I like your notes for them, though some could be a little more detailed.

>Ability Order: Exquisite

Note: You can explain when to pick each order. If there's a certain matchup were it's better to play more aggressive, then explain this. Otherwise it's fine.

>Threats & Synergies: Adequate

These threats and synergies are already pretty good, but there are some that you've missed. Off of the top of my head you can include these threats:

Some of these are unorthodox picks (though you already have some unorthodox picks anyway), but they are also heavily picked, especially AP heavy carries that we don't usually see from an AD centric position. It's also worth to note that you're currently only covering the threats for Supports only. This is not good. Botlane is the only lane in the game that is a 2v2 dominated lane. Support matchups are never truly going to be "easy" or "hard" considering that one ADC can turn it into something else compared to other AD carries. I believe you should be covering the potential "threats" of ADCs as well as the supports you've already covered. Synergies only stay as ADCs because you're already playing Support.

Don't really like the way this section is formatted, but the information is good. Within some of the guides I've mentioned down below, there are pre-made templates that can help better showcase the pros & cons of this champion. It just looks off and weird having Leona on the left side (nothing on the right) and the pros + cons being centered for seemingly no reason when each point is different lengths.

>Ability Rundown: Adequate

Bit weird. For some of your abilities you mention directly what it does from the tooltip and little about its personal use for you as a player, yet with other abilities (like with R), you explain why it's useful and why the ability matters rather than just re-using the tooltip. Why not have this be consistent for every ability?

Combos seem alright, although you mention that "In this section I will share some effective and simple combos to understand" yet nowhere do you actually explain these combos. The combos are just shown, but they aren't explained nor do I as a reader understand when I should use these combos and most importantly why I should use these combos.

"Avoid standing directly in front of Leona, so you're not being rooted by Zenith Blade and then stunned by Shield of Daybreak." within your Tips & Tricks could be shortened a little so that it fits with all the others (without the text going underneath the bullet points (-) you've made). Can be accomplished by making it more concise e.g. like this: "Avoid standing infront of Leona, so you won't be rooted by Zenith Blade and stunned by Shield of Daybreak" or similar.

Note: A bit redundant to include "Always be mindful of this when playing Leona" for the 3 things to consider when they're already points you'll consider.

Your Ignite description is a bit redundant in some areas. All you have to really explain is that it helps reduce healing, can finish off kills that your ADC may not be able to get due to the damage it provides and helps secure advantages and be aggressive. No need to explain the tooltip of true damage based on champ level, nor is it needed to explain that it's your "other go-to spell in most games" - it's THE go-to spell in almost all games, it's the most popular spell choice after all.

As for Heal the description is pretty misleading. It's obvious that the spell is not typical for supports, it never is, does not have to be explained. Neither do you need to explain what the spell does (giving heal and movement speed) - also isn't necessary. Explain the purpose of the spell, that the only time you're ever going to use it is if your ADC wants to pick other spells, one of you will need to pick Heal (It's already the most typical choice for ADCs, therefore it comes as no surprise it is not a typical pick for yourself).

Note: Personally I believe going in-depth about each potential stat is quite the overkill. This isn't really all that necessary. Your items already cover what's useful for Leona, there technically is no need for more as readers already know what is good.

>Which Boots & Why?: Adequate

Here you explain your boot options, why are these not explained within the cheatsheet? If you made each description ever so slightly more concise, you'd pretty much already have a go-to explanation for each pick to include in your notes.

Swifties are your "primary" mobility option, not "premier". I also doubt you will ever really be "vulnerable" on Leona to the point you require boots. You're a tank, not an ADC, you have more than enough health to survive.

I also do not like your reasoning for Boots of Swiftness over Mobility Boots, as this is also not reflected within statistics (Mobility boots are picked 90% more times than swifties over 110k games). While it's true that the movement speed value does drop when you engage, it's not the reason you purchase the item. Mobi's are built primarily to roam and only to roam, your focus isn't on "getting slowed" as your entire purpose is to be able to move around the map as fast as possible and impact it e.g. to roam mid, to roam top, to roam and invade the enemy jungler together with your jungler.

The entire purpose is roaming and moving around, not whether you'll be slowed once you actually engage the enemy (if the engage is good, you're guaranteed a kill regardless if you "get slowed" out of combat). Mobi's give 115 movement speed vs swifties 60, swifties are not remotely good if your intention is to actually roam the map. "Saving" the 100g from buying swifties instead of mobi's actually hurts you significantly more than you actually gain here.

Again you also mention "You're likely to die if you get caught out" - you're a tank, not an ADC, you have the most health in the game, make good use of it instead. If you roam and you don't see a kill threat that can lend you a kill, just don't engage and move back botlane. Swifties is just massive overkill for a champion that doesn't need it.

>Items: Adequate

You mention here that Steel Shoulderguards is Leona's best starter item, but as I mentioned prior, it's not the most picked starter option, that is Relic Shield. The only thing you explain is that it helps to increase your damage by minimal amounts, which to me does not seem all that useful to pick over Relic, so which one is truly better here, and why can't both options be explained?

I feel like the support quest can be explained within a single description with only text instead of being scattered all over the place. Just explain to your readers to save your charges for every single wave, where if the wave is a regular one, use the charge on the melee minions, if it's a cannon wave, then use it on the cannon instead. All of this whilst explaining to avoid using charges on casters because they do not offer as much gold as the others. Not much else is needed here besides what I just said.

Not gonna say much for mythics as my points are relatively the same as with your cheatsheet. I do not believe the arguments for Heartsteel and Jak'sho (Iceborn too but it can probably be an unorthodox pick against some champs) are sufficient enough for them to be built, and that Shurelya's and Radiant are built more than these 3 but are not explained. Evenshroud and Locket are completely fine but do explain when you should build each one, when is each mythic more favored than the other and against what stuff.

Worth to note that Anathema's Chains should only ever really be built vs heavily fed targets that could potentially pose a threat to you, if you're never against anyone that is really all that fed, this item never once becomes a core anymore.

I don't understand why Banshee's Veil is included here. It's not built even once whenever tank Leona is played. The spellshield is completely redundant here as you are once again a tank, not an ADC or midlaner (to the point that your squishiness becomes a determining factor to get this item). At the same time the 45 magic resistance that you gain from banshee's is literally worthless for you when other items (that you also mention) like Force of Nature or Abyssal Mask already offer way more magic resistance than you even need (60).

Silvermere Dawn on a support is pretty redundant as well. You don't deal nearly enough damage to actually require a QSS that can help with removing crowd control. You're a tank and your health is more than enough to just tank through every bit of damage that comes your way (even more when you recommend items like Gargoyle Stoneplate).

I would advice here to look over your item descriptions once again and instead of just using the tooltip of the item (e.g. it provides armor and magic resist along with a shield that is based on the enemy's missing health), try to explain why this item is useful, not the stats it gives. why would the item be bought at all? I admit as well that I too am at fault for doing this sometimes, so it happens.

Some examples could be e.g. " Chempunk Chainsword provides antiheal which is very good to have against opponents that heal a lot such as Vladimir, Dr. Mundo or Soraka" instead of saying "it provides ability haste, AD, some health and some anti heal", saying " Lord Dominik's Regards provides armor penetration which helps reduce the effectiveness of tanks as you're able to deal more damage towards them" instead of just saying "it provides armor penetration, AD and crit chance which is good for you", or " Mercury's Treads provides magic resistance against heavy AP users whilst also providing a good amount of tenacity to help with heavy CC team compositions that can lock you down" instead of saying "it provides you with magic resist and tenacity".

>Runes: Exquisite

Note: It's fine but I would still urge to remove Press the Attack as a recommended option. It's never picked and none of your descriptions of why you should pick the keystone feels sufficient for it being a good choice compared to any of the other options. It just isn't good and for a tank like Leona, it's not like your main focus is damage. It's understandable that it increases all damage sources even from your ADCs, but this is not enough to justify it over other more tankier options, if your ADC is any good, they don't really need that extra % damage, they'll already have enough. The keystone choice would also be picked a lot more than what it is, which is just not true (even Guardian is picked more than PtA).

>Rune Shards: Exquisite

Note: I feel like making an entire section dedicated to a couple rune shards is extremely overkill. I would just put them underneath the runes once you've explained everything, in a very small and quick section with some icons on the left to showcase and the description on the right. Whatever you've explained in this section could be written a lot more concise in like 1-2 sentences and still cover everything you've said.

If there's one thing I'd say about your guide that I feel like you can improve on, it'll definitely be this. I know very well that making use of BBCode can be a very tedious task in of itself to make use of or just to be able to get familiar with in general, but when it comes to presentation, making use of some more code can really make your guide become more alive, so to say. You definitely already have some decent code to work with, but it's very very barebone.

For your Summoner Spells + Wards & Trinkets sections, you include code that can be made different. It doesn't look as pleasing to see the icon of Heal or Oracle Lens right next to the text that explains its use (which then continues to stretch underneath the icon, looking very displeasing). This could be accomplished/look better with the use of some better templates (Your boots + items sections portray this better).

I believe for the other situational items, you can try to center the item icons at the top, this way they aren't completely towards the left side and it'll look a lot more pleasing.

Here are a few coding guides that we already have on the site that could help you if you'd be willing to dedicate some of your time to learning it (or if you just want some quick templates to make your guide look a bit more tidy):

I feel like having a bit of a color theme would go a long way for any guide. This will be especially clear if you were to incorporate some BBCode for your sections. When I say the word 'color theme' I mean using colors that best represents the champion & guide you're trying to make. For example, you're currently using the "Solar Eclipse" skin for the main use of the guide, which means that a good color theme to have could be e.g. Orange + Yellow to fit with the skin. If you were to use "Lunar Eclipse", Blue + White would be a very nice combination with that one and so forth.

As of right now your guide is not following a single actually coherent theme. You have colors scattered everywhere that doesn't really follow any theme and you're showcasing a bunch of her skins without much else.

What can be Improved?

Making guides more extensive takes a very long time and a lot of dedication, but if you want to spend more time making your guide more informative try to explain more topics such as:

- How to play around objectives
- Explaining the actual botlane matchups - it always varies, again it's a 2v2 lane
- How to Roam to other lanes
- Vision
- Lane Priority
- Tracking the enemy jungler - it's a good skill to have
- Potential win cons - if any, again objectives play a good part here, playing around your jungler is another factor
- Wave Management - It exists for Supports too, most common variation is holding the wave near your turret whilst waiting for your ADC to arrive again (that way no one loses any gold/exp).

These topics can all be useful topics to explain, and of course there can be multiple more I haven't mentioned that you can talk about when it comes to Support as a role, but I feel like these are some of the more important ones to consider.

Overall Thoughts

For a guide that you've made, it's extensive and decent. I am impressed with the information a lot and it's decently solid. Like mentioned already, if you fix up some sections a little bit more and work more on the presentation aspect of your guide, it can definitely become more of a solid source for players looking to pick up Leona. I hope this review is of help and you'll be able to make use of it. :)
