To be honest, Soraka needs it. She's broken in the sense that as long as you have Soraka on your team, your team has a significant bottom lane advantage and her ultimate is strong for what it does instantly.

For me it means I might finally start playing soraka! Finally people might see that when I play Sona I am versatile and not just a healing machine (especially since Sona heal early levels suck).
Interesting! I wonder how much they will screw up my Nidalee though. With less sustainability she might not be viable in a 1v2-lane no more *sadface*

Can't see how anyone would see these as nerfs tbh.
Imagine a tanky AP soraka who just runs around and in 10 seconds, reduces your team's Magic Resist by 140. (Has abyssal obviously.)
Then with the AP she has, and the massive CDR, she heals people at crucial points, stopping that AD carry from destroying them.
Soraka will be a monster when this goes live, same with sona.

As someone who plays support a lot, these are my thoughts:
Soraka
Starcall: More spam-able but to be honest the range on starcall isn't too great and many times when trying to land it in team fights i'll end up positioning myself in a risky position. Just a re-work, not a nerf.
Astral Blessing: Due to the AP ratio being cut in half, it may not be worth it to build AP anymore as the bonus will be small and you would be better of building sustainability and CDR. The cool down increase is going to be devastating. The very small buff to the heal is nice, it sort of kind of makes up for the AP ratio being cut. If they were going for clutch heals and more action then i think it was silly for them to decrease the ratio and increase the bonus armor, as i don't imagine having the heal use to heal somebody and have them run back in as the clutch heal would be to save them so they can get back. Definitely a nerf
Infuse: AP ratio gain if a buff, IMO not needed, but i guess they are trying to make up for w.e people might be mad about. Full cdr makes the 5 second difference into a 3 second difference which can be crucial even if the duration is a little less. The silence duration decreased is for more action. No more double mana=no more sustain. Buff.
Wish: Nerfed. Less healing, less reason to build AP.
Now of course when I say nerfed, it is from the point of view that competitive soraka is played now. She is a heavy heal person, so when her heals do less, it is considered a nerf. I'd say soraka was nerfed, but we'll have to see how she fits in once these changes are applied.
Sona
Aria: This is really hard to decide whether this is a nerf or not. The buff at level 1 will give 16 bonus ar/mr. + 6 every time you level it. The AP ratio change doesn't do anything as no one builds ap on sona for heals (I'd hope not). The lockout time remove is great. The buff makes up for the base heal nerf. rework/buff IMO
Riot is trying to shift the meta game for whatever reason [dominion?(I think they are trying to make it more action packed by getting rid of sustain, not that heals are OP and broken. There are many heals in other games and they do just fine)] and people don't like change so what I think will happen is that the ranged ad carries will run boots+3 pots bot (on summoner's rift) until people get adjusted to the new "meta"
Now of course these are thoughts from a perspective, no need to get mad or upset or say "OMG YOU ARE DUMB DUMB" If you disagree with anything discuss it rather than argue etc. I'm interested in people's thoughts because support is what i main
