Shen or Taric better tank?

There's really no reason to build any non-supportive defensive item on him since 75% resistance is crazily good. The fact that you're kind of squishy before activation gives them some incentive to lower you, too. @OP Taric isn't a tank, he's a support, and one of the best supports in the game, to be honest. Reasons why he's not a tank - Only ONE single target CC, and it's 1.5s, too. No real peel. You can CC them once but that's about it. No way to reach the enemy without using his stun. As a few examples, Amumu has his Q, Shen has E, Leona has E, Galio has a slow and speed buff. He's 100 times better as a support Can't jungle/solo lane very well A tank is someone that takes damage whilst forcing enemies to focus them at the same time. Someone that can take a lot of damage but can't take the damage because the enemies won't focus them is bad. Someone that is invincible that either runs around CCing the enemy team or gives their carries a chance to destroy them is good.[/quote]

But that wont stop me from buying some tanky items for either Taric or Alistar. And using RP to buy 3150 champions is a waste.[/quote]
