Also, I think the levels of immorality in this thread are astounding. You'd really throw a child off a boat for your own luggage? Wow.
Choosing whether or not they want to use you requires they can understand you.
Being improperly taught, or not being taught about you is not a choice.
Grammar, dear, they can't use you like the rest of us do if they don't fully grasp who you are.
And remember, you're not the only one out there. You're English.
People are out there using your other (French, Russian, Spanish, German, and oh god let's not forget the Asian; and many other) counterparts as fully as they would if they knew you, don't be jealous.

Actually, the "'i' before 'e' except after 'c'" rule only applies to words with long 'e' sounds. Words like 'science' and 'society' don't have to follow the rule.
And I'm pretty sure plurals are allowed to break the rule as well.
Just stick with the classics, like 'weird' and 'rotweiler'.

What a kill joy. I bet IRL you're really a vacuum cleaner, cause you sure know how to suck the fun out of things. (I would've went with hooker, but hookers are fun now that I think about it. Minus STD's)
