I think AD Carry + Support mid works pretty well though.
Especially someone strong early like urgot or Ez.
You have a jungle, and now you have 3 solo lanes.
Put AP Carry top and offtank bot and should be no problem.

I actually just won a 1400 elo ranked game doing a ' troll ' team comp and somehow it worked.
Galio top.
Amumu Jungle.
WW middle.
taric + malz on bottom.
Mid game = gg.

He's welcome to feel the pain if he wants ^___^
Nasus is free win for Olaf. Nasus cannot win that lane against a competent Olaf.

But see, Nasus doesn't need to win the lane. He just needs to not lose the lane. As long as he doesn't lose the lane, he wins by default, because he's Nasus.
Edit: Furthermore, due to wither and his lifesteal, in a solo lane, Nasus pretty much fights on his own terms. Sure, Olaf can chuck axes at him, but... life steal.
Also, good luck winning vs a solo top Yorick.

Yeah troll setups always work surprisingly good, and are a lot of fun as well. I've won a couple of games where we had 2 junglers for example ^^ Olaf and Riven. I won't be argumenting why that worked cause it doesn't. But what I can't stress enough, is that having the element of surprise on your side can win you games. If you and your team, have been practicing this troll setup, and properly know how to use it in different situations, while the opponent doesn't have a clue what to do against you, or how to counter pick you, I'm pretty sure it will win you games.
I'm not really into watching tournaments and what not, but I accidently came across a post from Ocelote vouching for people to be more creative with their setups. As example he used a top team putting Zilean on mid, which is rather unusual, winning them the game because the opponent didn't have any experience of facing Zilean on mid. I think he made a very good point here, people shouldn't take everything for granted and try to be more openminded. It's also a lot of fun trying new setups, so you have nothing to lose ;)

I don't see how this is a "troll" team comp.
Galio is usually top. Amumu is usually jungling. Lanewick is usually in a solo lane, 90% of the time top, 10% of the time mid. Taric usually goes bottom. Malzahar usually goes mid, but he's fallen out of favor as an AP carry and can go bot with laners he synergizes with. E.g. Malz + Leona for Leona's passive and Malz's void aids and AoE silence. With Taric, he has a hard cc to help him land ult, and armor to make up for squishiness, and an AP buff from Taric's ult.
The team itself has triple AoE threat from Galio + Amumu + Taric, double suppress threat combined with AoE taunt, and sustained magic damage. People at 1400 ELO have no idea what the **** magic resistance is, or what a

hi embracing. yes i play ff14 now.
LeagueTopTen has already proven that you can win a game with an All-Support team comp.
The constant heals, buffs, cc and overall support power eliminates the need for a tank and when you don't need a tank, that means the enemy can't really focus anyone and you can dominate the team fights.
But you can be a bit vulnerable early game, and the jungler role is difficult to fill, so it's not really good for ranked because people can easily ban your team's only picks.
