When in a game with a Zilean, the Heightened Learning icon for Volibear is replaced with "Chronokeeper Hater: Not even Zilean could keep an armored bear out of the League of Legends" buff. The effect to experience point bonus from Zilean is to be confirmed.
Zilean also gains the opposing "Armored Bear Hater" icon.
When Volibear slays Zilean, he states "Your time has ran out Cronokeeper" or "I got a special claw for you, Zilean."

Hes OP, he doesnt even need a single dmg item to deal out much dmg. Yes RIOT keep releasing that borderline OP stuff thats tanky as *****ing hell and aces your Team if you ignore em, but if you focus em you still get aced cuz the other 4 Champs of the enemy team can beat da **** out of yah

Anyways, he's modeled like a gorilla. It's so obvious.
Riot should have made him run on all-fours all the time, give him tenacity-laced speed-boost, and only have him stand on his hind legs when he fights or isn't moving. That way, his arms could be more slender.
I hear Volibear's OP though. Toss CC, HP-scaling finisher nuke, AoE Fear, massive DPS bonuses.
I agree with that character model idea, and now that you mention it, he does look like a gorilla. I realized there wasn't a polar region, but he looks like a polar bear. XD

In my opinion Volibear is not OP by any means. There are a few elements that make him seem OP, but he is pretty easy to counter. (On a side note: Phreak needs to come up with a different phrase than "deal lots of damage".)
Phreak even isn't to enthusiastic about him in the video when he's introducing him. You get the impression of "Yeah, I normally jungle with him... it's alright." Volibear's passive is crazy... but the problem is that once it's on cooldown you're screwed until it comes back up. And many people compare it to a weak version of Dr. Mundos ult that he spams.
I've jungled against him with Udyr and I completely dominate him. Yes, Udyr is hands down the fast jungler, but speed doesn't necessarily mean the best jungler.
To me, Volibear is "just another champion". Riot needs to work on better things than just making new champions to throw into a cesspool of unbalanced champs, which I talk about in my blog post.

Took less then 30 seconds for a Fizz (me) + Lee Sin + Leona to kill it. Around mid game in a bot game.
Feels like he's been nerfed hard.
Probably because of
Only his armor/mr have been touched, and those were buffed.
They stealth buffed his AD from 550 to 600, but that was a few patchs ago.
Baron got buffed according to all of my sources.
