If you're against a tank team, then best luck is to get a
Kitae's Bloodrazor and go survivability build. This will no longer be a "Hybrid build" anymore though, it will become an on-hit build.
I would start off with:
Boots
Ruby Crystal
Long Sword
Then after;
Phage
*
Mercury's Treads or
Ionian Boots of Lucidity
Recurve Bow
Pickaxe
*
Kitae's Bloodrazor
Late game;
*
Frozen Mallet
*
Wit's End
*
Guardian Angel
6th item; (pick one)
Banshee's Veil (I recommend this one just for more MR and health, and is less expensive)
Trinity Force
Malady
(* refers to the items you will be having in the end, in which you will have 5 core items)
This build will make you as tanky as them while you're able to sort out some consistent damage as well. You won't be as bursty as you are normally as AP, but you will be able to annoy those tanky dps by being tanky yourself, and being able to dish out unexpected damage.
PS: Pick
Ghost for this build. It's better for securing kills and defending your turrets.
PS #2: You can thank me later if your guide becomes famous while using this :).

Hmm, seems like an interesting way to go.
Have you tried this out against a few tanky teams? My only concern is that you're basically reliant on just [W] to put out any extra damage since nothing else really adds to your auto attacks. Can it really stand toe to toe with someone like Xin or Rammus?

False. You are not only relying on
Seastone Trident. You also have
Urchin Strike which applies all your on-hit items/effects on your targets in one single ability which will do an insane amount of damage to anyone (tanky or not). Just remember to activate
Seastone Trident before using your Q. Your auto-attacks also do a LOT of damage.
I have tried this on many occasions, only time it fails is when you have bad teamwork (duh). Many times, I have solo'd Irelia, Jarvan, Rammus, Alistar, etc... and they run away from me.
It can kill Rammus because his
Thornmail won't do anything against you since most of your damage is going to be magic. Just make sure you have some Magic Penetration runes along with you.
Your
Playful / Trickster isn't gone to waste. You will use it to slow your opponents instead of using it as a burst ability. Then, your ult is going to be useful if you really need to slow someone down, or you need it to center it on a group of enemies.

Oops, yes. Odyn will definitely help you if their team has at least one annoying AP around. You could easily replace that with
Thornmail if their AD is too strong.

Hey mister el-douchebagio, the OP was asking help on Hybrid Fizz Dominion Build. Plus, he was asking help and some input to write on his new guide on

(Discontinued)
As a general rule Fizz does better as AP. Even in an AS build you should be focusing on getting AP - it just so happens that some AS items help his CDR and mpen etc. In a Dominion setting I am aware burst is less effective but still, personally I focus move speed a lot more in dominon so I might build something like early boots+catalyst then go into a phantom and malady. Still though Fizz isnt the greatest dominion because he is a slower champ who dosent synergize well with move speed items. That said just pick Fizz as an AP burst. You shouldnt be relying on him as you would a Yi.
Clicking +rep has a 20% chance to give you 6-pack abs. Karma baby.

However, when I see 4-5 tanky champs roll up in blind pick it's difficult to do really well. I've tried a few builds centered around Malady and Nashor's, but I usually either end up too squishy (from rushing Malady) or too weak (from rushing something like RoA) for early-mid game. It certainly works a lot better than the standard AP burst build, but I don't think it's ideal.
If anyone has some suggestions I'd greatly appreciate it and would drop a shoutout in my guide!
(I know that this is a rare situation in the first place, but I have had it happen a few times now and would like to share with others how the hell to handle this situation most effectively.)
