Background looks cool but kass and ez look like they've been slapped right on it, maybe you could try and blend them in.
As for the text you could try not lowering the opacity and instead add a small 'border' around the letters. I mean, that's what I'd do, I'm not so sure how it would look on this banner though..

if you could get rid of that "flame" in kayles hand you could probably write your name on the shoulder guard.. or jsut make the flame smaller :)
