AD Melee's with Gap Closer Mid

Anyway, point being, yes, I think it's harder to be successful with most melee AD's under ranged harass, but once you hit an item like Wriggles to out sustain that harass, or get a few D blades and a vamp scepter, sure, I'd say melee AD champions can play mid lane quite comfortably if you are excellent with your zone control and reliably gap close.[/quote]

That's why melee AD is usually a weak choice against ranged AP. Melee ADs with burst work sometimes (that would be Pantheon and Talon).[/quote]
