frozen mallet for the health and damage. if you really wanted i guess you could build a warmogs instead. but you'd have more damage output with the mallet.

trinity force mostly for the proc, but except the ap and the slow chance every part of trinity force is good.

I have no need for an early Phage. I'm still a pretty cooldown dependant burst character with a bleed. If they get away after my first spell combo, so what? It's not like I would pull out 400 more damage. Plus, I like going double or triple doran's and Phage would just make me use too many slots. Sometimes I'll get it before upgrading to Maw of Malmortius.

Well, but Phage allows you to stay with the enemy and apply 1-2 more bleed stacks which could bring you the kill (You don't have to finish them off with your ulti, just bring them so low with it that they die from dot+ Ignite).

BTW: As far as summoner spells go, Ignite is a must, dat synergy. I prefer Flash over Ghost because of the synergy with E but others could choose something else.

Oh, and never get both Trinity Force and Frozen Mallet. You waste one of the most important stats from Trinity Force with that, it is just no longer cost efficient. If you get Trinity Force, get Warmog's Armor.

the slow chance proc on trinity force is nice, but people build trinity force for the spell proc passive and the wide array of stats it gives. its just a bonus.

Darius should also work well in a 2 man lane, I mean, if you don't go for a jungler and have a 2 man top, Darius+ Alistar or Darius+ Blitzcrank owns anything.

Oh look, I get to apply two more stacks that will give me less damage than if I had two less stacks but about 40 more AD.

I don't rely on my ult as a finisher. Yeah, it makes a great one, but you can't always expect to have it. Not to mention that if it doesn't kill, it doesn't reset.

I agree, Ignite is a must. I like Ghost on him, because he is bad, and I mean really bad at chasing at escaping. With his passive, he does better in prolonged fights, and Flash just can't really cut it, especially since you've probably already hooked them once.

Another thing I found out: Darius counters Renekton really hard, he deals twice or triple the dmg of Renekton early, the phase, where Renekton should dominate.

I get this feeling that because he looks kinda like Garen and supposedly Tryndamere, people keep thinking he's supposed to be built like one of them.

Actually, building him like offtank Garen isn't that bad.

Except that you swap out Infinity Edge for Bloodthirster. And you could swap out Atma's Impaler for Frozen Heart.
