I feel weird posting in two places, I'm such a CnC *****, mainly because I wanna learn. And I like your variation, I knew my initial piece was very simple, and rather boring overall, but that's due to me trying something new and wanting to achieve a solid base before stepping up to a more difficult/evolved form. I have older pieces that used C4Ds, fractals, etc. But for now I want to get smudging down.

POST COUNT BRO. >:D Also added some comments to address above in my thread

Alrighty, so here is a big stab at the suggestions made by Xiao and Sarcasm. Probably need to soft erase some stuff out a bit. And the smudging might not even be visible XD. But I wanted to try to step up a bit more.
CnC please?
I have another version that I'm working on with a slightly different color scheme.
EDIT: Only thing I dont like is how I smudged the text in the first one.

The alternative color scheme. I didn't do much save for change some gradients and stuff. Overall I like my first one better.
First one is definitely better, the color scheme fits better.
This is definitely an improvement though!
Some CnC:
I would advise a smaller canvas however, at the moment there's too much plain space and unconventional usage of it, the c4d's are also slightly too endearing being in an area where there is no light source.
Furthermore, the rule of thirds could come into play here - I haven't really followed the rule heartrendingly in the past but i'm starting to. The rule of thirds helps enforce your focal point dramatically and aids you in placing c4d's, effects etc in the right place.
Try enlightening the light source, use the dodge tool (soft px brush at 20~70px) and use it on the light areas of your sig to boost the visual. Then burn areas you wish to be darker. Doing this can not only help the light source, but the effectiveness of your signature and also aid the depth.

IMO your latest tag is too centered, Jeffy. Offsetting it to either side and then placeing the text on the other side would probably a smart move. Soft erase some of that fractal spam.
