It's EXTREMLY powerful when done early, especially if you already are above enemies.
It's like Supernecrodragon Abzo Dolba from Duel Master. "The dragon rose, hope fell"
Although old build was very good too. Just give several options, possibilies, routes to take. For "you are fed"/"normal game"/"they are fed". Test test test.
Anyways I REALLY appreciate thing you don't blindly stupid meta. Think differently, that's my statement, and you... do it =)
Early game was usually tough with the old build. I tried boots of speed, into Berserkers, wriggles lantern, then wit's end and a chain vest. "Unstoppable!", enemy surrendered at 20.
I'd been trying too hard to get those expensive late game damage items, that my early game was suffering.
But, wit's end, and wriggle's lantern, totally pwn early game. +Rep
To be honest I went here to downvote your guide thinking
"Omg... Vayne free this week, sooo many squishy ****-builds nowadays... IE, PD, BT, LW, PD - let's downvote another one"
Then I was...
"Wait a minute - he copied Duff's Build! Ghrrr downvote!"
and then "Oh wait... he gave credits... OK ( Rammus)"
and after all "Okay... it's not Duff's guide"
So all my mixed feelings about this guide made me go for a cig, relax, think over what to tell you, because it's rare to see good guide nowadays and you deserved constructive criticism.
Let's start with items. It's generally very bad for Vayne to start Madred's Bloodrazor. This is not because the item is VERY expensive, and totally not about the fact that "enemies need to have high HP to make it effective" (that "fact" is actually a myth as enemies need to have 1500HP to bring it effective but k.).
No... it's not about this... It's about that there are BETTER options.
For Vayne Trinity Force is much more beneficial as first item than Madred's Bloodrazor. It's just about maths. It gives more defence and offence + also utility. Period.
But there is possibility to take Ionic Spark if you feel like really REALLY raping enemies and you WANT to keep yourself ahead. This is fantastic item for that purpose.
The other possibility is Wriggle's Lantern if you feel getting raped. It helps very much early.
After 1 of these it is time for Madred's Bloodrazor. Yes indeed. Also you mentioned to keep in mind to use Negatron Cloak and Warden's Mail (or just Chain Vest) if needed as counter-item. With such gear you don't need anything more but survivability, and here is 1 small tip for you:
It's almost NEVER beneficial to delay finishing Randuin's Omen and people tend to do it. I know it's greedy and all to keep that Heart of Gold as long as possible but after Trinity Force and Madred's Bloodrazor you NEED defense, gold won't help much, Randuin's Omen will. Period.
And Force of Nature is not upgrade worthy if you only aim is magic resistance. I know it gives huge bulk or m.res. but it's so cost inefficent item if you look only at magic resistance, that it's WAY better to even buy ANOTHER Negatron Cloak if you care ONLY about magic resistance. Force of Nature is health regenereation and movement speed or "cherry on the top" magic resistance item. Almost never stand-alone magic resistance. Keep that in mind. Count cost efficency. Get over it.
Last thing, Mercury's Treads's benefit is NOT magic resistance, it's CC reduction. Very worthy buing CC reduction. But magic resist ? Blah... Negatron Cloak, Wit's End and Hexdrinker are way better if you need cheap magic resist, don't waste boots, those ones are for CC, not for magic damagez.
Skillorder is almmost perfect. General informations content is at very high level. Simple editing (to be honest almost 0 editing) but clear, readable, short and easy to follow. Not boring. I'm a big fan of Duff's guides and I like his style, and so is yours. But some fancy graphics are always nice-to-have =).
All in all, You totally deserved that +1 from me. I know i talk much, blabla babble babble much and i'm smart*** *****, but well... I wanted to give you some advices, I wanted to give food for thoughts, just wanted to be useful.
Sorry if my tone is mocking-like, didn't mean to offend you =)
Good luck with your guide
