I think the EU people should start using the Mobafire vent server for the inhouses. Every time we lose so much time setting up skype calls and stuff. If we all just get on the vent server whenever the inhouse starts it would save so much time and just be a lot easier in general.

Totally agree Khazem. I will start requiring everyone to have Vent installed before they get an invite. I'll make a point of it in next week's signup thread.
Thanks to Minho for my sig!

Yeah, just going to go with Vent since we can rely on the mobafire server, and they're already paying for it for us to use it, haha.

I rather prefer Skype to Vent. I've found my experiences with Vent to be very disorienting. In the NA games, people just forcibly drag you between rooms, people from one team can join the other channel to make a comment before just disappearing (someone joining our room to say "oooo, counterpicked, you suck"). Also, I never really know who is on my team: I prefer Skype because I can rename the people to a more recognizable title (Vent names don't always match, or even come close in some situations).

To put it simply, I think you're just going to have to deal with it. Vent is much easier to work with coming from a host's perspective. I know a lot of players who have performance issues with skype and use vent instead. It also removes the whole friend's list issue and is much easier to organize, even if there is a change in the team setup.

I think I'm going to be cracking down more on the switching rooms thing. Wrath barged into our room twice while I was trying to discuss our last pick for our team. Once the teams split to discuss picks and champion selection starts, there should be no more room swapping until the game is over.

With my experiences of VOIP, I prefer Mumble or Ventrilo over Skype. Skype is "easy" to use but holy cow does it destroy someone's internet/computer. Skype has also caused a lot of "lag spikes" for members in the call, unlike Mumble/Ventrilo. When it comes down to preferences, I suppose Skype is a fine if EVERYONE on the team has each other added and ready to go but having a Ventrilo requirement is probably necessary. my 2 cents yo
