The skill sequence is not really optimal at all.
I take E first, as I can often simply throw unwary enemies under my turret, getting an easy kill, then I take Q twice, so I get some damage (obviously) and then I get 1 point in W, so when I get ganked or my opponent gets ganked (which usually happens at this time in the game), I can prevent/help the gank. Then After that I simply prioritize R/Q/E/W.
E before W because E's damage is really underrated and you really dont need 75% slow over 25% so early in the game.

I reread my post, and I didnt really explain what I wanted to.

On the offensive guide, Rod of Ages can be fine, but I want to rush Rylai's and Liandry's because they are currently broken when combined.

This makes your poison deal 10% of their health every 3 seconds they are in it, because the effect lasts 3 seconds. This is for the offensive build, and though you do gain a lot of health (and armour + mr from ult), but this build shouldn't be used if you are the only initiator.

If using singed as a tank, you should use defensive build, and rush Rod of Ages like before the s3 changes.

Also, W can be taken, but just make sure you don't use it much because if you have no mana you will be worse off with them slow but not taking damage. Plus, you can fling them into turret if they chase, and they are less likely to chase if you use your w. It is risk for reward, as any choice in LoL.

In my opinion, for being aggressive I'd see rushing a rod of ages being far more efficient than not getting it at all, taking it early so you can achieve all the stacks within reasonable time is really good, that combined with other AP hp items can keep you going as singed, such as rylai's and liandry's.

No offence, but that math is just ********. A potential saved life from the W slow far exceeds the 50 extra damage you get on Fling from levelling it.

Rod of Ages is, and have always been, core on Singed. The sustain, mana, health and ability power is just too good to skip out on. I'm pretty sure that Rylai's only has a higher winrate because you get it when you're already ahead, therefore your chances of winning are already increased. Or something.

Rod of ages may have been nerfed, but it has also become much cheaper than before.

Bro, not to sound like a douche, but did you even read the guide?

It features a Rod of Ages in the defensive guide

Taking mega adhesive is somethign I used to do until learning from InvertedComposer, arguably the worlds best singed, that it isn't as mathematically beneficial

Rylai's Crystal Scepter has a higher win % than Rod of Ages aswell, to say it is bad is just ludicris.

I respect your opinion, but I think you should realise that there are numerous ways to play a champion, and after the Rod of Ages nerf and Rylai's Crystal Scepter buff, I think that these items have reversed, and now the scepter is neccessary and rod is only if stomping.

Rod of Ages is main for any Singed...
Frozen Heart is not necessary since you don't have CDR issues and you have better options for armor.
You should take mega adhesive on level 4 to help you with ganks or as an escape mechanism.
Rylai's don't fit with Singed since you WANT to be chased and the slow provided by Rylai's won't benefit you.

Hi Krznixtkransj,

I'm a singed main too, and your information looks fair enough. The offensive build is still fairly durable, but isn't for when I need to initiate. Then I would build defensive if I was the full tank.

Iceborn Gauntlet it more about the utility and health/mana as well as some free armour than the sheen proc, however I have seen a lot of very high elo players building sheens, even trinity force on singed, which seems odd to me, but seems to work.

Void Staff is always an option, but not a favourable one. I would suggest getting this if they had no damage and all MR.

The main reason I had warmogs in there is that it has the new force of nature equivelant passive, which synergises well with your regen.

Deathfire Grasp amplifies all magic damage they take by 20%, so not just your damage. This is good to support your team if they are heavily magic damage oriented, just like WotA, but its situational.

Zhonya's Hourglass is just a nice tank item that ups your damage, not that there aren't better choices.

The reason why I don't get mega adhesive is because you are already mana hungry enough, It might save you, but it might also cost you because you run out of mana. You can take it, but be wary of your mana.

Bullying works fine, particularly synergising with ganks. You need to manage your mana, but if you can stop them from harassing you and from farming, you will be fine.

Ok, I got some things to add here... Please note that I main Singed and have played him more than any other champion, and know pretty good what I'm talking about.

1. Your builds. Your defencive build is good, nice balance of armor and MR, nice sustain and everything.

Your offensive build though, is what bothers me... It's too offensive for a Champion like Singed that has to be in the middle of everything to deal damage. If you get an early kill and snowball out of control to the point where you're miles ahead of everyone, it could work. As long as you have your ultimate to make you tanky in teamfights. after that you will be far too squishy to last longer than a few seconds if they focus you.

As far as the other items go:
Iceborn Gauntlet could work, I guess, but in my opinion just building a Frozen Heart instead is much better on Singed.
Void Staff: Don't get this on Singed, you're not an AP Carry, and you're sacrificing tankyness for a little more damage.
Will of the Ancients: Getting a Hextech Revolver during the lane phase is okay on Singed for sustain, especially against Yorick, but that's it. Don't build it into a WOTA, unless you have another WOTA on your team aswell. Even then there are other far greater items for Singed.
Warmog's Armor: This isn't really necessary on Singed, since with his passive he's already around 4000 hp. Good sustain so, so for a full tank build I'd say you should get it.
Deathfire Grasp: No. Just no. You're not a burster, you don't need this, you don't want this. No.
Zhony*** Hourglass: Since Singed is almost always able to run from his opponents, and can survive pretty much any burst, I don't see how this is useful on him except for a little more damage and armor.

All other items are viable/good.

Also: Tank items before damage. Can't do damage if you're dead, can you?

2. Abilities. You shouldn't wait until level 8 or 10 with getting a point in Mega Adhesive. If you're being ganked at level 4 and you have it, it will in many cases save your life. 50 more damage on your Fling in level 4 isn't worth the utility of a 35% AOE slow.

3. If you wanna bully your opponent early, that's fine, and could be worth it. However, a Singed with no mana, is a Singed with no damage. Well, no nothing really. Bullying in level 1 and 2 should always be considered carefully. 2 or 3 Flings, and you're out of mana.

That's just my opinion anyway... Hope it helps, at all, or that you got some answers to why I'm wrong.
I'll be voting on the guide later after I've tried some of it ingame. I think.

Thanks for your feedback guys. How are the utility tree masteries totally wasted? They grant you a nice chunk of mana and health for free, and keep you sustained. I did mention that if you feel confident enough you can take 9 in offense, but the tankness and the sustain the utility tree offers is quite significant, and many singed guides suggest 0-9-21, so if that was true, how are these guides valid in bring published?
