if you were someone who used to get dual pds(dunno if anyone really did that much) then obv a shiv would be amazing instead of second bd.

Yea, shiv isn't about the money. 2 gp 10 is nothing, especially when you are an AD carry. You get a zeal first anyway if you can.
And Wriggle > Hydra > Shiv is really strong on Shaco.

When S3 came out, i used to, if possible, buy Vampiric Scepter and Avarice Blade for Ashe on my first back, while maxing Hawkshot. Works if you farm really well. tried with Graves a couple of times and it's not the same. If i build Statikk Shiv i end up selling it for a Phantom Dancer.

Why would you sell for PD...
You get 10% AS and crit chance, which is almost nothing, and get 1% more MS, which is good, and the wave clear/extra damage passive. Plus it's 300 cheaper. They are both very similar and really based on preference...but one isn't worse than the other and there is no reason to sell one for the other. The only place you would really clearly get one over the other is with Draven, when the creep walking on PD is nice for catching axes. And maybe Vayne. But on most ADs I prefer getting Shiv (mostly coz the passive es so fun).
