Who want to bet that this thread won't last until Wendnesday?

On topic, Chirstians are like fanboys. They will always go ape**** on you if you say the slightest bad thing about their religion.
Thanks to TinyStar for making me this awesome sig

Well not all Christians, that's a very inaccurate and quite presumptious assumption you're making. And from the people who question the religion (at least most in my area) actually taunt Christians and believers of other religions of their belief.
I'd be pretty pissed too if someone made fun of everything I believed, and so would you.

I believe in God as a Catholic but my belief is that our diety is very much above our existance, making his motives impossible to understand by us, who have a limited amount of knowledge. Now before thinking I amusing the cop-out argument "God moves in mysterious ways", I just think we are unable to understand. Another belief of mine is that, well, we're not sure if he cares about us really. God is there, he created everything, but it's unknown if he really gives a damn about us at all, like a neglecting parent.

You seem somewhat reasonable.
I hope you see the points in my following comment:

But I have a theory that could explain the possibility of having a god out there:

What if God just didn't care?
What if God just made the world the way it is, and then just observes us, watch us doing stupid mistakes and watch us doing great things in life.
What if God wasn't a god, but just a scientific person doing a project, and this whole universe is smaller than an electron.
We all would be ants, not special, just an expirement made by some kind of scientist.

I've got a theory too.

What if god is an invisible entity hiding in your washing machine, stealing one of your socks every time you wash them?

The theory is stupid and doesn't have a shred of evidence in its favor. Much like "God", but being all-encompassing and "beyond our understanding" and such makes god the most annoying theory to disprove..

There's a very good principle that a person named Ockham used frequently; if there are several ways of explaining something: use the one with the least assumptions.

It's even possible to describe the other planets in the Solar System as revolving around the Earth, but that explanation is unnecessarily complex compared to our standard planetary model that all planets in the Solar System revolve around the Sun.

One could possibly theorize of God's existence, but it would be incredibly convoluted and require crazy amounts of assumptions. Hence the theory with the least assumptions is chosen; the one where God doesn't exist.
Quoted:
Christianity is good when you need hope, it is that little spark that allowed many people to have something to live for, to have hope in life.

The amount of good Christianity has done is outweighed by the amount of bad it has done.

In this day and age though: I'd even go as far as saying that Christianity does more bad than it does good.
Well, religion in general really..

the fact that some of the Christians in that thread make more sense than you do sometimes, is startling and really sad.

Everybody says stupid **** from time to time.
Heck, I've got spectacular quotes from both you and Cuddles in my Sig.

So please, instead of bashing him every single time he says something, just bash him when he's being stupid.
The "bullying" of Cuddles gets more annoying than the stupid things he say at times. Please stop the stupidity.

Don't go to forums if you don't like arguments, lol.

One post and I already like you Searz. I will reply with one, simply, sentence:

"Religion is great, religion makes people thrive. Man is ignorant, man corrupts"

Religion is not to blame for the wrongdoings of man. Just because I slay a dog and say it was for my religion does not put my religion at fault, but me.
Religion is a scapegoat for both the non-believers and the believers. Just the way humans were made.

Rep+ for you because you're that daring man that has te power of being smart and being on the internet at the same time, and for once, I'm not being sarcastic.

I honestly don't get those with the need to seek for religious people for the sake of arguing with them. It just seems dumb to me to tell someone who believes in their superhero that this superhero guy never lived, let them have their faith ffs, it's not like they're forcing you to go to church and hear about Jesusman.

People going to religious people for the sake of argument, and then blabbering about their "outsmartings" of said religious people are to me as obnoxious to listen to as the religious people themselves.

Please, just leave them be.

If you actually go on my account on Yahoo answers, you can see that I troll the heck out of the Religion section, and people actually get mad. For example:
If god not real who keep Australians from fallen of bottom earth?

I will admit that I have posted some stupid things on there like this:
Why do Adam and Eve have bellybuttons

But the rest is actually very justified and I always get stupid responses from people, Like this:
If god created the sun on the fourth day, how had four days passed?

My account for any one interested

I'm sorry if offended you. That wasn't my intention. I should have mentioned i was talking about Christian fanatic, not all Christians.

Incidentally, I think if I were also to mention the Problem of Induction, I'd still be ridiculed if I said science had equally no basis as religion.
