Only things that look interesting here are
Mondaiji-tachi ga Isekai kara Kuru Sou Desu yo?
Kotoura San
Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai NEXT
Hetalia: The Beautiful World

Now Im skeptical about Tamako Market
Is there anything special about this or is it the same as K-ON

Sukunai is some epic jerk off material

Oh, I don't know, maybe I wrote about Tamako Market--and how it's the only current series that I actually wish I didn't have to wait for the next episode of--several pages ago. (Hell, the next episode comes out tomorrow and I really, really, really want to know what happens.)

Mondaijitachi is... Shonen. It's fairly shonen. The three main characters being problem children is kinda' fun, but the recent episodes have strayed further and further into "this show is just a shonen where the special and cool stuff we mentioned earlier no longer actually matters" territory. And, the male main character (and thank the gods for no romance plot elements yet) is ceasing to be a super-awesome badass already, which aggravates me. You might like it, Cudd.

Kotoura-san is more interesting on paper than in execution. The first episode or two were great, and I was really hyped to see the rest of it. Recently it's begun to disappoint, and I almost have to force myself to watch it after downloading an episode. You'll certainly like it, Cudd, but don't expect it to be great.

Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai NEXT isn't good, really. I mean, I'm still enjoying it more than Kotoura-san, but it's worse. It might be picking up in these last few episodes by actually bothering to explain why its using the oblivious-male-with-harem trope with in-universe lore, but... The amount of fan-service is really stupid. After this anime season I'm thinking that I need to steer clear of fan-service heavy anime for a while. You'll probably like it if you enjoyed the first season. If you didn't enjoy the first season or didn't watch the first season, don't watch it.

Hetalia has 5 minute episodes. I am therefore unwilling to watch it. Ever. I imagine you'll like it if you liked previous Hetalia series.

You'd also like OreShura, you might like Love Live!, and you might find the first episode of Amnesia more interesting than I did. I'm not sure if you'd like Maoyuu Maou Yuusha, but I really find it a nice change of pace (and art style) from the rest of what I'm watching, although I really do lament its low budget, because its better than several higher budget anime this season, so I recommend at least giving it a shot. It's far more interesting than the blurb on that calender would seem to suggest.

This season I tried to watch a lot more series than I usually do, in an effort to actually watch more anime, but several didn't work out for me. I wouldn't bother looking at Hakkenden. I watched the first episode and found it very lacking in real character development and not terribly interesting (which is odd, considering the relative depth of the source material); there are far better supernatural anime out there and far better samurai anime out there. I also watched the first episode of Senran Kagura, and it was also really terrible (which will surprise no one). And I watched the first episode of Sasami-san@Ganbaranai, but I couldn't think up any reason to keep watching after the first episode and as such haven't bothered to watch the second.

I agree with Lifebaka on Mondaijitachi. At first the show looked promising, but a few episodes in it became "COME AT ME BRO AT YOUR FULL POWER AND I'LL JUST KICK YOUR *** WITH ONE PUNCH". I still watch it in hopes that it might turn out to be alright.

The one thing i can't stand is the strength difference between the main characters. Izayoi pretty much OHKO's anyone while Asuka and You are... quite useless at the beginning. Izayoi just seemed a bit overpowered.

Haven't watched OreShura for a few weeks, is it still worth watching or not?

What's a good place to download anime? Preferably free, but fees are acceptable as long as they're cheap.

On a side note, what do you all think about the Higurashi series?

Ok, If you want to get anime for free, you will have to use a site like BakaBt or Nyaa

http://www.nyaa.eu/
http://bakabt.me/

You will have to sign up to use BakaBt to it's fullest extent, nyaa is usually better and you can use it immediately.

NOW, this is the important part. Do not think that there will be one download for each anime, seeing there are a **** ton of fan sub groups, there will be quite a few releases of the same anime from many groups. So which ones should you get? An accurate list can be found below

Mazui - Amazing Group
Hadena - Troll Subs
Commie - ****ing Amaaazzzinggggg
gg - ******s
Coalgirls - Mega ******s, **** font, bloated files, just **** off.
Doki - Literally sentences like this: "Ohayo Karen chan, Do you want to go eat some oishii tabe?"
Than they write in a tl note: "If you watch anime you know what that means"

Look basically, Commie and Mazui are great groups with precise subtitles and very good typesetting
UTW and HorribleSubs are good but not as good as Commie or Mazui
Everything else is pretty bad.

You usually don't want to get anything higher than 720p unless it's an anime like Madoka, where the experience is just ruined unless it looks flawless.

When snatching from nyaa, press downloads as the list order, you will get the most snathed torrent. Make sure you search for the anime in question first.

For example Tamako Market right now has Mazui as the most downloaded, the most downloaded is more often than not the best. See: http://www.nyaa.eu/?page=search&term=Tamako+Market&sort=4

@Searz If only I read your post before taking my english quiz this morning. I wrote "misleaded" instead of "misled" twice on the writing essay about false advertising. Thanks though for the lesson :)

I mean... It's basically been more of the same. If you're into that kind of shojo, it's not terrible, but you're not really missing anything by not watching it.

I'm really not sure if this is what I'd call accurate. Hadena subs aren't the best, but they're hardly trolls (I've used Hadena for some series that no one else was subbing); gg's issues are largely that they're *******s, but they don't do a bad job on subbing; Coalgirls are pretty middle of the road and it's not like you should avoid them if they're what's available; and you missed a lot of other fansubbers like Anime-Koi, EveTaku, rori, and UTW, to name some that I've used recently. Also, there are some fansub groups that only ever really get together for a single series, like Simoun-Fans or Bleachverse.

HorribleSubs does Crunchyroll rips exclusively. They deliver pretty consistent quality, since they are the official subs from the studio, but they don't ever use translator notes (again, they're just CR rips) and their selection is limited to what CR has simulcast rights to.

Commie tends to use CR or other pre-done translations when possible, but they do their own encoding. Their subs tend to take a few days, but they're always good.

Really, though, the most important thing to keep in mind when you're getting these subs is that you want consistency (for each individual anime). Each fansubbing group translates things slightly differently, so if you want to make sure that you can follow what's going on you shouldn't switch groups all the time.

One other thing to keep in mind is that whoever puts out a given episode first tends to get the most downloads, even if they aren't the best. This is part of why Mazui's Tamako Market episodes are the most downloaded. Although, really, Mazui's subs are fine, but it's worth keeping in mind for other series. (As a side note, Mazui is translating the series with the intent to get the idea of what the characters are saying across more than the actual words they are saying. Their translations flow well, and I find it really interesting to listen and find where their translations are somewhat less-than-literal.)

Finally, I really suggest sorting by seeds rather than downloads, for older series and whole series (and for most torrents in general).

Well yes if you want it to download fast

I go with stuff that downloads slow mostly because I have so many anime on my to watch list that I don't care how long it takes to download

Ill just make a list and you tell me if it seems good and what needs to be placed higher or lower. Ill also be more realistic with it.

1. Mazui, Commie
2. UTW, HorribleSubs
3. Sage, gg
4. Eclipse, UTWoots
5. Underwater, rori
6. Coalguys, Whynot, Ayako, URW
7. Everyone else

I started watching Tamako Market and I can confirm that it is quite entertaining
The art is beautiful as well

Just finished Toradora!, I must say that even though I expected how it would end, aswell as some events not being developed therefore making you feel like there are "holes" not being closed through the end of the anime, I've enjoyed it to the fullest and didn't regret my time spent watching it.

Just remembered, someone said a few days ago (Searz maybe) that it'd be better if for once the characters of a romantic anime weren't "clear-cut", as in you know they'll end up together since episode 1.
This is why you might want to check Kimikiss Pure Rouge. I mean it's not that great, but the art is good, it's funny to watch and the characters are not "clear-cut" at all until 3 or 4 episodes before the end of the anime. Check it if you have nothing to watch :P

Anybody know if Aku No Hana is any good?
http://myanimelist.net/manga/24705/Aku_no_Hana

The "Mangapod bookclub" I'm following is going to read it, but since the synopsis doesn't sound too interesting I'm not gonna bother if it's not recommended by somebody.

Yea, it's one of the better anime I've watched. (I've seen a lot of **** like Naruto and One Piece =.=)
Overall I think it's a pretty decent anime.
My main gripe with it is probably Taiga (the only reason I remember her name is because it's almost "Tiger"); she's just a ****ing annoying little brat 90% of the time and the moments when she's interesting are quickly shoved out for more *punching the main character in the face*-time.
That might sound overly negative, I didn't actually dislike her THAT much, but she just felt like a huge trope and annoyed me more than she added likeable elements to the anime.

The highlight of the anime is easily what's-her-name(Miss.Blue Hair). I LOVED her. She was so incredibly well-characterized. Her flaws were all very reasonable and well fleshed out and she wasn't as flat as most anime/manga characters.
She felt like a real person where many of the other characters just felt like re-purposed tropes.

Yea, that was me, but eeeeh.. I've got enough stuff to do :P
