Oh, cool. He summarized it in just one minute, I didn't have to watch the entire thing!
"-∞/10"
"It's ****"

Now I can safely remove it from my list.

Comon be honest searz
Watch the entire review
He gives it an 8.06/10 and says "its too important to ignore"
Giving it his highest rating reserved only for the "best of the best"

detailed, however rather shallow review. He doesn't justify how he ended up giving 8/10. Did he give 11/10 on something, for some reason?

personally, Evangelion was something different to watch. Inicially was the Evas and the creatures, later was the symbology, characters and the intrigue in the plot.
the description on Rei is bad, imo, but he states he doesn't want to reveal the plot, which is a bit of a paradox since she is strangely a good part of the plot. Also, being the emotionless doll has a reason because she is actually a doll.
Asuka is not Shinji. Asuka has a similar background. However she responds in a completely different way (more active, mischievous, ambitious).
He did not mention SEELE, he did not explain where the religious references come from, also, there is a reason they are called angels... it's not really something that dropped from the sky.

i give this review 6/10, because it's better to sound cool and *****y than fair, although he gives a nice score.

you should watch Evangelion because it's not mecha. At most it's sci-fi drama (like, way overdramatic drama), and it is a benchmark of the 90's and has it's special place right next to Ghost in the Shell. I like it way more than DB/DBZ/DBGT, even though it has it's very twisted ways. It's different, has a boronic hero, has paranoias, but opened my eyes to other things I now enjoy.

Searz the anime is ****ing class
It was made in 1995, for it's time, the animation is amazing.
The best part of it all is finishing the anime in complete stupor then continuing onto the rebuild movies, which are on a level above legendary. The movies are really just completely amazing. The animation in the movies is absolutely beautiful, having some the most beautiful set pieces you will ever find in anime, ever. The story in and of its self is better than the original anime BUT that doesn't mean you should skip the anime. It offers are massive background for all the characters and their developments and you need to watch the anime to really really enjoy the movies.

Please searz, at least this anime, watch it sooner than later. It's good I promise.

BAKA tell him how amazing the movies are and how excited you are for the Evangelion 3.0 Bluray to come out.

Here I have it ready for you actually, All direct links

Neon Genesis Evangelion (Movie included)
Evangelion 1.11
Evangelion 2.22

The rebuilds (1.11 and 2.22) are from Coalgirls since they did a good job on them and didn't sub them.

Now listen carefully as you are going to have to get prepared for this
1. After downloading the three torrents, Delete episodes 21, 22, 23, 24 as you will be watching the director's version of the four episodes. Delete episodes 25 and 26 as they are ****.
3. When you have completed episode 24, watch the movie "End of Evangelion"
4. Watch "The Rebuilding of Evangelion". That is "Evangelion 1.11, You are (not) alone"
And Evangelion 2.22, You can (not) advance
3.33 has yet to come out as a bluray and is in a ****ty qamrip version at the moment
4.44 isn't even out.

ALSOOO Listen to the soundtrack, just to put it in perceptive how ****ing epic the movies are.

I partially agree. It was a little shallow; he just rambled a lot of facts at times, but I do think the review was fairly good and the score was justified from his reasoning.

To me the series seem like a very flawed diamond. It has a lot of really good elements, but at the same time a lot of really bad ones.
I'll probably get around to watching it not because it's 'not mecha', but because I want to see it for myself, sooner or later.

What is '****ing class'? :o

It was a joke, I will probably do it some time.

Thanks, I'll probably DL them. (Eva is still not moving up my list tho :P)

You know that there's the option to just not download them, right?
Both when you open the torrent file and then when it's active you can change it in the "files" list.

Here's the thing; people don't objectively judge something when they take age into account, so saying that something was amazing for its time is to bias the comparison and inflate the value of what you're talking about.
(btw, does anybody know whether ^that's a correct use of a semicolon? I got very unsure about it)

To objectively judge a piece of media, its age needs to be disregarded.

Never liked Evangelion.
Granted there's very little animes I like, but Evangelion is indeed "mecha". One thing means another, and it means another, and its just a large chain of random garbage that almost seems like the writer made it up along the way. It has its moments, but not enough to be engaging.

Mondaijitachi ending was terribad. I can now honestly say that series was a bit below decent, even if it wasn't quite outright bad.

ikr :<

I feel like they could've done better on the anime as a whole in terms of shaping the plot and characters. And of course Modajitachi is just another one of those im-not-gonna-finish-the-story-and-make-you-wait-for-season-two anime. and even so the ending of it sucked

Robo notes went bad too. I feel like they could've emphasized way more on the hidden conflicts and come up with a more mindblow situation than something that people expected. Furthermore it didn't really make sense either.

Just waitin on some new anime to watch now
