currently i play almost exclusivly protoss because when playing zerg i lay out creep and build drones, nothing else :P

You need to scout early game. If you know your opponent's build order you can counterbuild. It's like 80%99% of what SC2 is about: information control.

early scouting won't really work for me because i have no idea what it means if someone is building [insert random building here] instead of [insert another building here]. don't even get me started on counterbuilding :P

Play protoss, cannon rush their base. Win all your placement matches, get placed in gold, realize you suck. Win anyway, because no one expects the cannon rush.

Thank you Miss Maw, CasterMaster and Arcana3 for the sweet sigs. I'd definitely recommend you to anyone looking for a nice sig.

i felt lazy and tried to cannonrush an intermediate bot(he was terran), but this ********* somehow already had marines and saw my pylon too early so that i could not finish the first cannon. i surrendered(i still had my base and stuff, but who cares :D)

in the second game i had protoss vs. protoss(****ing randomizer i want to play vs zerg) easy bot. to make it short, i won easily. i could have made it faster, but i wanted to have a mothership because they look cool as hell :D

edit: apperently the first 3 games are some kind of placement matches. maybe i should have actually played the second game instead of just giving up after my cannonrush failed.

edit2: i am setting the game on english now. it is getting annoying to translate everything without knowing if it is actually right.

When you learn your race, hotkeys for units and buildings and basic build order.

Worry about stuff like scouting and strategy later. By far the most important skill in SC2 (especially at lower ranks) is macro speed. Bots are actually pretty useful to play against when you're learning (unlike League) because they basically do the same thing every game. Higher difficulty bots push you to be more efficient with your resources and get enough early units out without falling behind on your economy.

In lower leagues (when you start playing against real people), the person who built their army bigger and faster wins the game pretty much all the time, unless you get cheesed by something like a cannon rush. There isn't much strategy until probably plat+. Even if you built the perfect counter composition to beat your opponent's build, you're going to get crushed anyway if they built more units in less time.

If you're not sure what to do and when, especially at the start of the game, it doesn't hurt to watch some streams. Day[9] does something called a Noobie Tuesday where he goes over some basic game elements every week, if you want to look him up on YouTube.
