How much does Renekton fall off late game?

So I got Aatrox a few weeks ago but honestly I'm just not liking him alot. I don't like his play style and I just consider him an overall below average champion (easy to build against, easy to pick against and even with his good lane sustain he is incredible squishy).

Anyway, the point is that I'm seriously thinking about returning him and I'm looking at other Top lane champions to get.

I mostly play ADC but the Top champs I have are:

-Rumble: Love him, good damage, decent defense and I simply love his ulti
-Jax: One of my first champions and I really like him. Strong DPS, fun jumping skill and awesome evade skill
-Darius: Not my favorite... but he is fun to play once in a while. Specially aginst people who don't know how to play against him (which are surprisingly A LOT of people).

So one of my main options right not is Renekton. He seems like a solid champion with good skills... I used him once or twice when he was free a few weeks ago and he was rather fun (but you can't a get a good idea of champion with only 1-2 matches).
One thing I've read a lot about him is that he falls of really badly late game, is it true?

I'd also take any suggestion for good top champions.

Thx

Well ofc his damage falls off late game - that's what happens with nearly all bruisers. It just depends how late into the game we are talking about. Renekton probably scales worse damage-wise with items than Jax, Darius, and Rumble do, but he's still a very very strong pick.

His ability to become beefy while dealing damage is so helpful mid game that that kind of makes up for it though. With Dominus, tower dives can be very easy. Plus, Renekton's wave clear makes to even easier for him to roam and secure kills through tower dives

Not for all bruisers lol there are scaling bruisers like Jax, tryn (if he counts as a bruiser), etc

Renek is just basically an aoe tanky bruiser.

I'd recommend him but I don't see the problems you have with Aatrox though...

You can try tryndamer. Super underrated and strong. My friend climbed to plat by basically only playing tryn.

Tryndamere is ridiculously powerful in the right hands.
A good Trynd will just wreck you in trades and dive you constantly.. He is easy to build against, but once you finally get enough money for armour he will just 2 shot your carries anyways.

As for Renekton, I personally just build him a full tank. Sunfire Aegis is almost always my first buy, it makes his mid game twice as scary and helps with the tanky transition into late game.

Mundo goes where he pleases.

And pleases, where he goes.

Tryndaqueer is just about abusing that 35% free crit early game then snowballing / tower diving with the most balanced ult in the game. I've actually found that he's quite easy to deal with in the late game unless he splitpushes all the time but lots of ppl can 1v1 him. In the late game he is so easy to just chain CC and either burst right before he ults or let him ult and kill him when its over. Plus exhaust wrecks him and makes their jungler have to be a full tank because he wont be tanky. And lots of people will outtrade him unless he gets too many bs crits

Also, a cool thing I like when I play Twitch is that all Trynd players I see use their ult like right when they have like 50 health or less. But when I use Twitch I get max stacks on him and before he ults when he has like 300-400 hp I go NOPE 500 INSTANT DMG with expunge and he dies. This always works when I play Twitch vs Trynd. Plus I can just stealth and run away

There is no way to prevent Tryndamere from ulting. No CC in the game stops it, not even silence or suppression. The only way to kill Tryndamere before he ults is if the player doesn't have good reaction speed.

The idea is that he's not much of a threat, even with his ult. Lets face it psi. If you get a snare off on trynd, he's kinda screwed.

I think Thalia isn't denying this, just saying chain cc while he ults or burst so fast he can't react accordingly, which can happen. Anyway, I find Renekton kinda gay and I prefer Nasus all the way, even if their lane attitude is nearly symmetrical. Also, isn't Udyr just as able in lane and that beautiful shiny midgame star that gets 100000 kills and can't do jack lategame as well? Might consider that manturtlebearphoenixtiger guy.

Man I hate bruisers

Most people build him pure tank and rely on Renekton's high base damages. He's already got a lot of sustained damage just through Dominus. Black Cleaver is also a good addition on him with Slice and Dice. So your damage falls of a bit, but you still do enough as a giant beef stick who has massive armor shred.
