Astrolia: haha, that's pretty awesome. The similarities are indeed remarkable. You also made the scene look like a playable game, which is cool.

Here's my entry. I used the stimulus three times around the signature to add to the vector lines... I guess..
I couldn't think of anything creative to do with them, sorry. It was my first time ever using these :p.

P.S what does OP stand for ("I'm going to add it to the OP")?
The thing is that working with a C4D this complicated for our first try is hard jhoi :S I understand why most people would not go beyond their comfort zone. A sphere shaped C4D with 2 colors distinct from each other doesn't easily blend, therefore people are forced to reduce its opacity, or put in on Linear dodge/Screen :/
I've been trying for 2 days to actually have the stimulus have some presence in my sig, but it just wouldn't work lol

@Jai You misunderstood what I was saying, so let me try to restate it. It takes little skill to follow a step-by-step tutorial because it does not require you to think about what you're doing. The difference between what you did, which was attempting to duplicate something with very little idea about what I had done, and that...was exactly my point. You undoubtedly learned more just through experimentation (which considering I've made maybe 4 things in that style ever, is still what I'm doing) than any of us will following a tutorial.
That's all I was saying.
as for the signature itself, when I actually feel like I am competent in the style (which isn't now btw, I chose to use it despite a total lack of confidence in my ability to use it effectively), I'll try to make a tutorial if you're still interested in how I did it.

does anyone know why the background is black instead of white when you copy-paste the stimulus into gimp?
it is kinda hard to remove the background when you only see the colored parts of it.
unless you've changed the settings so transparency is disabled, it shouldn't have any background at all. It didn't do anything like that when I downloaded it and put it in GIMP.
