Guess people are having a hard time learning new tricks ^^ I can extend the round for a few days, if that would make it easier for people?
Most of the people in this thread try to make "pretty" signatures with the same internet web forum graphic tutorial techniques of using C4Ds and fractals overlayed 900 times regardless of what your chosen stimulus is. If you're really concerned about stepping people outside of their comfort zones, try having them do something besides signatures. E.g.: Logo for a company, your own business card, an infographic, a champion cheat sheet with spells/skills/rec items, what do you think Mobafire should look like?

Out with the art, in with the design?

Those are some good ideas, Astrolia. The only reason why I kept it to signatures was to try and ensure entries stuck to a certain size; size constraints do force people to be creative in how they are going to display their final product. Mainly I was trying to get people to use resources they don't often use (like you said, some people keep to the same tutorial, following the same steps over and over again - I'm guilty of this too). By making people use text, textures, C4Ds and a render (as opposed to just a flat background image), people were able to expand their knowledge of what can go in a signature (and how to do it).
Anyway. Hopefully more people will give the C4D a go. The next five rounds may be a little more diverse. Perhaps consider these first five rounds as "introductory", which prompts people to have a go with the devices they'll have to use for the upcoming rounds ^^
