o.o ? In Photoshop, whatever filter you move to the top applies to all layers below? Then again, I haven't made a .gif, so wouldn't know... ?

In gimp it is a bit different. When you apply a filter it only applies to a selective layer.

it works for more simple things, the way I make signatures currently would be a pain if it applied filters to all the layers automatically.
it's not as helpful for larger things though
edit: adding a new layer group and putting all the layers you want to change in it should allow you to do that from what I've tried, but that may not work for everything

New smudge, still learning how to make it look good. I think parts of this are too sharpened and I don't like how the focal looks, but I still like it. Don't think it's as good as the lee sin one though.
You don't need to use fractals each time; in fact I usually don't only because sparkles and stuff don't tend to compliment most signatures (akali, shen, rengar sigs are just like an example). Be a bit creative with this kinda stuff. Brushes, C4Ds, renders of certain things (fire, bamboo? d: ). I think you have too much space in the sig though, would enlarge the render probably.

I always thought the lucian login looked so cool :D
Ikr, I got this plugin for Gimp where I can apply filters to all the layers, what would normally take hours took only seconds
