Hi all. Well lets start this story from the beginning. I started playing League in season 1. I wasn't very good. Near the end of season 2 I was getting better at support, mid, and top lane roles. I thought I was so good that I would try my hand in ranks. Big mistake. I was horrible. So horrible that I realized I needed to go back to the beginning. I attempted ranked play again in season 3 and again was discouraged when I ended up in bronze. So now, here I am again. In bronze but determined to pull myself out of there. I have grown a lot as a player. Learning most of the champions and their counters. I am always looking to improve my gameplay. So if anyone has any pointers or would like to play with me to see how I do, please feel free to contact me. Wish me luck!

good luck! One of the best ways to get better at this game to be honest is to play ranked. normals will only go so far because people don't take it as seriously as ranked and therefore try random stuff that wouldn't necessarily work in a ranked game because you would be punished for it.

Wishing you luck in your matches and the will to climb out of bronze!

I don't think playing ranked or games in general is necessarily the right idea. Stop playing ranked for a bit. You'll probably keep cultivating bad habits that you've had since S1.

Go watch higher tier players do their work - streams on Twitch.tv are good for that. Choose streamers who explain what they do and why they do it, like Voyboy, Nightblue or OddOne.

Now choose one or two champions and spam the **** out of them in normals until you know them inside out. Then spam them in ranked.

1. Wards are a legal form of cheating.

2. Watch featured games via spectate feature in the LoL game client. Pro games like LCS are a completely different monster than solo queue. The high ELO featured games in the client itself will be more true to how you should play the game for solo queuing rather than arranged play.

3. Get a duo buddy from the games you play. You're only excuse for solo-solo queuing should be if you're a total loser. Make sure the person you play with has a way to skype you and is someone you can generally get along with.

4. Play what you know.

5. Play what you know.

6. You should be expected to know how to play 12 champions well and 1 champion extremely well.

7. Play what your team needs.

^ harsh. But seriously, if you stick with any thing for 4 years and doesn't get any better than the day that you start then you have a bigger problem than you think. Well, stick with the advice already mentioned will get you some where, but it won't help much if you don't find out what's wrong.

Unfair question, imo. Some people play the game casually. Some people don't want to play competitively and are fine with just being decent at the game. The best example I can give is with fighting games. The difference between the pros and the casual players is like night and day. As with such, some people just play league as a fun thing to do after school or work. Some people who play casual and want to get better sometimes get intimidated by the pros basically because the amount of knowledge that goes into being good at a video game (HAHAHHAA) is tedious to follow.

This can go on for any number of years. The will to improve is there, but it's not necessary, because they probably didn't care much to rise in rank and we're fine with just being fine (Sound familiar?). When they decide themselves that they want to change, then that's when they'll make the effort to try to improve. Hence this thread he made.

Why people are condemning the OP on why he still 'sucks' after 4 years of playing this game are egotistical ******s. IRL happens or some people just choose to not take video games as seriously as you. And the fact that he was willing to admit that shows that he probably just got bullied in game. But besides that, he was intimidated by the fact that ranked was hard. He doesn't know all the facts that there was to this game. He's still a humble player, which is rare in this day and age for LoL. And judging by the way he wrote his OP, we have useless ********s like you to blame for that. Rather than be apart of the solution, you'd rather be apart of the "LOL YOU'RE NOT GOOD AFTER 4 YEARS XFD LOOOOOOLZ PWNT BETTER NERF IRELIA! XD". Not everyone takes the game as seriously as you, or some people just truly don't know how to get better. The fact that he is now seeking a community to grow in should be evident enough that he's tired of being bad at a videogame (Which, in all honesty, doesn't really matter because videogames are for fun and relaxation) and wants to win more games. More so than he was previously.

Not being good at a videogame and seriously saying **** like

are the very cancer that makes this community such a ****ty one to thrive in. Who knows, maybe he was below bronze standards in his previous years and gradually rose to where he was today by doing his own thing.

tl;dr- Toshabi has spoken. OP is casual and wants to change that. Go climb a wall of ****s, O ye condescending ***burgers of MOBAfail.

Tosh, I was seriously asking. If you enjoy something enough to dedicate 4 years worth of time your skill level should increase over that time. I'm sorry but you're 100% wrong and you shouldn't call people out for asking serious questions. Even playing this game casually given enough time you'd expect increases in game knowledge and mechanical skill which are the two biggest factors in determining how 'good' someone is at LoL.

If in 4 years your game hasn't seen marked improvement it means that you are experiencing problems with how you process information as it pertains to the game. With 4 years of experience you should have learned what works in a given situation: can I all in this Renekton as Shyvana right now or will I lose the fight...etc.

As far as mechanical skill goes once again no matter how casually you play that should just come with time spent playing the game. When I flash do I stop moving? Wow that isn't good it should be movement>flash>movement not movement>stop>flash>stop>movement. So you realize early on that you need flash to be fluid and although you mess it up a few times when you're new to the game you eventually get the hang of it. If your mechanics aren't improving it means you literally have given them NO thought.

Just my two cents. No Tldr read what I ******* wrote.
