[/quote] [url=http://i.imgur.com/dnCJg2j.png]combination of things.[/url] the main one being that my bottom layer is the image of Diana blurred (gaussian blur, 5x5) with a soft glow on it (with the glow radius set rather large and the brightness in the middle), then a sharpened slightly desaturated version of the same image on top of it (set to multiply) then I used a radial shaped gradients to make the edges darker and Diana/the area around her brighter. plus a single layer in a medium-dark blue (I just blurred the recolored galaxy texture I'd originally put on there until it was mostly solid because I was lazy) set to screen at 70% opacity to add further ambient lighting. @jan jan that's the background of the original image.[/quote]
