I'm not on EUW server, but I think I can tell you a few things.
Twisted Fate hurts a lot with AP, more than AD I think, so I would definitely go for AP. I believe your problem is positioning,
Twisted Fate and many other champions are all about positioning right and waiting for the right time to do something. Try watching Youtube videos of people playing
Twisted Fate, this might give you a notion on how they combo, positioning, timing and specially when to use your ultimate.

I always personally think of
Twisted Fate as more of a utility mid laner. I am not saying that he doesn't put out good damage but he is best used to help your team secure kills with your gold card stuns. It is very important when playing
Twisted Fate to be confident in your ability to pull a gold card at the right moments. Also when they updated the animation on
Pick A Card they also decreased the amount of time the card is available for after it is picked. This makes using
Destiny after pulling a gold card more difficult than it was before because if you don't teleport fast enough the gold card will no longer be available.
With that being said during the laning phase for
Twisted Fate you should be pulling blue cards whenever possible to help restore your mana.
Twisted Fate can have serious mana problems in lane if you do not pull blue cards. It is also important to remember that
Twisted Fate does not have any built in escapes before level 6. It is very important to keep your lane well warded because any good jungler will know this and exploit any bad lane positioning. Another helpful trick when laning and wave clearing on
Twisted Fate is that if you throw
Wild Cards at an approaching creep wave you can damage almost the entire minion wave. This is very helpful if you need to fast push a lane or to instantly clear minion waves in the late game.
In terms of itemization and build paths on twisted fate I personally think that an AP build with an emphasis on CDR is the most viable and helpful build. The
Lich Bane is always a necessary item on
Twisted Fate and more often than not should be your first big item. If you are having mana problems in lane there is no shame in building a couple of early
Doran's Ring for their added health and mana regen. For the next item it is a choice between
Rabadon's Deathcap and
Morellonomicon, I personally think the
Morellonomicon is the better choice because of the added CDR but if you are far ahead the
Rabadon's Deathcap can help you snowball your lead. For boots most people will tell you that
Sorcerer's Shoes are the only way to go but if you didn't take the
Morellonomicon the
Ionian Boots of Lucidity can be a good way to get some CDR so you can be more of a utility for your team. Other good items on
Twisted Fate are
Void Staff,
Zhonya's Hourglass, and
Athene's Unholy Grail. As for summoner spell it is popular right now to use
Ghost and
Flash. This helps to negate
Twisted Fate lack of mobility.
Teleport and
Ignite are also good summoner spells on
Twisted Fate.
I hope you found this helpful and don't be afraid to ask if you have any question about League of Legends

Wickedeye, i would look that up thank you.
cocfight, most of the things you said is very true, i tried the golden card trick once and it did not turn out well, i ended up dying before i could do anything. Positioning is the problem but i am learning to adjust..... Oh yes i use blue cards alot. Junglers are usually a problem but i tend to avoid them a few times.
In the items section, i built kinda the same thing but i would like to ask how many dorans ring to build. Sometimes i see people not building them, sometimes even 3.
Thank you, your suggestions were pretty helpful and i would not hesitate to ask any more[Legitimate] questions :P

In my opinion,
Twisted Fate benefit more from AP build.
His
Wild Cards and
Pick A Card will hit like a cannon.
I have tested him many times and think that a good
Twisted Fate will control his distance from his enemy.
All I do is just get start with
Doran's Ring and x 2 health pots.
Level up your
Pick A Card first then when in lane you use your "Blue Card" to last hit a creep.
This will give you a lot of mana sustain, and then poke your enemy out of his lane by
Wild Cards.
Stay far from him, "Blue Card" on minion with low health, poke him with
Wild Cards and if he jump in to trade you pick "Gold Card" and punish him, that's the trick.
Once you reach level 6, you will have to use your ultimate to gank bot or top lane.
Be sure to comunicate with your team before gank, or you will end up with no one even know you are there.

Wow, you provide some wonderful advice. I do pull blue cards on every cd of my cards. But i still have mana problems early on. I'd keep those in mind. As im still not used to alot of the item systems im still getting used to it, so i dont use that much of a flexible build. I guess i need to start thinking now :D
The main problem is in low lvl like me[lvl 13], its not fixed who takes wat lanes. I see varus mid, zed top and even 2 adc bot.

With regards to not knowing how to itemize properly trust me when I say that your are not alone. A large portion of the people who play this game will typically blindly follow the same build guide every game. Since you are a new player, I wouldn't dwell too heavily on optimal itemization just yet because there are more important aspects of the game that you should try to perfect first. For example, things like positioning in team-fights, good last hitting, objective control, and vision control are all the little things that are going to win games. You can have the most optimal build possible on your character but if your team is losing and you have no vision than it is highly unlikely that you will end up with a victory.
With regards to inexperienced players using out of meta and odd picks in certain lanes there are a couple of things I can tell you. When I started playing this game back in open beta, there was no 'meta' or any preconceived notions about how league of legends was supposed to be played. Back then popular mid lane picks were champions what now fall into the adc or marksman role such as

I get confused whether to build ap or ad and then everything gets messed up. So anyone can help me with that?
