Hey, I liked Rengar alot during Season 4, but I feel in the new Jungle he has a hard time sustaining camps. His heal is insignificant. (He's an assassin, dammit, he deserves better!) I was curious if any of you have played him in the new jungle and what your experiences were. Is there a certain route that you find doesn't kill him as badly? Will he be lower tiered in the new jungle?

I'd appreciate your thoughts on the matter. (I'd really like to be able to Rengar T^T)

I have played him a few matches, not enough to have a concrete idea on clear routes and such. My preferred enchant is devourer naturally due to how well Feral flare has synergized with him since its creation, and item is up to you. If you want to clear camps faster and more safely immediately, Ranger's. If you are lane ganking often early game Stalker is pretty OK, not the best option for him though. Poacher's I'd avoid on him specifically due to his lack of a get away if he gets collapsed on by an enemy laner+jungler in the opposite side jungle. Skirmisher is pretty good too(better than stalker if you optimize your auto animation refreshes/cancels correctly).

TL:DR Devourer always , Ranger for farm, Skirmisher for Ganking/dueling, Stalkers is ok. Poachers is awful. Try to start Krug or Blue pending on what side.

Rengar pretty much has to do golem/gromp start into buff into small camp, recall, and then do his 2nd buff.

You can lvl2 invade, but lvl2 invades in general are a lot worse now.

I prefer warrior over devourer, but thats just me. Always go rangers.

That is the issue, isn't it? Getting both buffs in one life. Kinda curious if certain champs will be buffed/nerfed for the new jungle, since some can still take camps until they feel like quitting (Warwick, Fiddle, and maybe Aatrox) and others can barely survive raptors (Rengar, Kha'zix, Evelynn).

That being said, these are my predictions/experiences.

Master Yi and Udyr can do a full clear of jungle before they have to back as well, and they're kind of taking steps in that direction with buffing the gold income, granted that was just bad all around. As for actual buffs to specific champions, doubtful for most of them. Evelynn might see one because she is borderline unplayable right now in just about any role. Kha'Zix can still jungle well, it's just far more difficult, you can always play him Mid as well. Rengar same as Kha'Zix, much more difficult, but doable, if you don't want to deal with the stress of the early version of revised jungle you can always play him top as well.

Apparently Rengar top is higher-tier than Rengar jungle. Never tried it, personally, but it seems like it'd do fine. I haven't played Eve yet, but she seems like she would get destroyed in the new Jungle.

It's fantastic because of his ability to choose what path he wants to go during the match. Early game consists mainly of Doran's Blade stacking, then if he's getting kills enough to justify it, goes assassin, if not, tank. I personally just run assassin regardless of how many kills I get, just so I can instant delete with Savagery :P .

Usual build path
Early game: x4-5 and
Mid game: -> ->
Late game: ->
Finished Build. , , , , , or

Tank Alternative would look something like this

, , , , or and to round off.

Edit: had to throw this in as well, if you go assassin and manage to get a Zilean on your team as well, that's just a huge bonus.

Last Rengar top I saw had 5 doran's and I have no idea why. He said it was because of some streamer or whatever. Under what circumstances is 5 Doran's Blades (350 hp, 35 ad, and 15% lifesteal) a good idea?

Wait, I just read the stats. I kinda understand.

I think the streamer in question is Ryan Choi.
