Patch 3.9 (Servers Up)

Servers going down now to patch.

Time to go shower =u= Aaaaaaand possibly go over what I'm learning in chem today if they're still patching when I get out. Yesterday was enthalpy and colligative properties.

I purchased PAX Sivir last night and input it this morning. Prices went up from $25 to $30-$40. Code worked, checked in a custom game. Now all that needs to happen is the VU.

================================================

So, changes on Patch 3.9? None of my champions received a hit from the nerf gun or boffer sword. Mostly just bug fixes for my champions. Though I'm kinda happy they're dropping the MP costs on Corki; I agreed on the whole "he runs out of mana waaaaaay too fast" thing, and his abysmal range doesn't give him options OTHER than skillspam. I also like the Draven passive XD My partner is happy with the

Does it even help?

There are a large amount of new guides that come out each day, with a larger amount of people who post on them daily. Is it even beneficial for me to come on each day and downvote 90% of the guides and say why? Most of the guides are just brand new people who want to share their strategy with a complete lack of coding and no general knowledge of the community. So should I even stay on to do the same things others have been doing for months? I just feel like I'm playing a broken record every time I comment.

My first CO-OP vs Bot match

After playing some custom bot matches and experimenting with a few champions, I plonked down some IP and RP to get Annie and Nunu, having much better luck with the latter. So feeling apprehensive I joined a Co-OP vs Bot match which lasted about 46 minutes with me at 12 kills, 1 death and 6 assists, which I was really pleased with. Comms in game was minimal even when I wasn't sure what a blue buff was and why I should get it.

It was great fun and I think I played Nunu to his strengths, making sure to stick Blood Boil on Ashe whenever we were in the same lane together. I ran top for most of the game but moved to some other lanes when I saw the enemy champs trying to gank. With my ultimate I managed to bag a couple double kills as well. I could see the benefit of Ashe being close by to finish off runners.

A few days later I went to join another Co-op vs Bot only to have someone else pick Nunu before me. I didn't feel comfortable taking another champ into the game, so left and quickly le…

Cube World Alpha

I picked up Cube World this morning due to the DOS issues their servers have been facing. So far, I like it!

Some of my recommendations for characters:
Water mages (spirit mage → skills → water) are a great starting class, as you don't have to worry (as much) about your out-of-combat HP. Though it also applies in-combat, I think Guardians (Warrior) are better for in-combat HP. I've tried Rogue (Ninja), but it requires a lot of patience to do it correctly.

You should get your first two basic skills before you get your first utility skill. (i.e. for mages this is an improved attack and mana shield). Utility skills are Riding, Hang Gliding, and Boating. Choose according to your environment (if you don't have a pet, I'd recommend Hang Gliding unless you're in an Oceanic biome, where boating is clearly the better choice). After that, get your third basic skill.

Dwarves and Goblins can climb through windows an…

Starting Off!!!!

What's going on everyone! So I just started my MOBAFire account and am trying to get more into LoL. I have been playing for around 8 or so months and just now figured I would create an account. Anywho.... I currently am lvl 23 and love to play every game mode available. Lately I have been huge on playing ARAM just so I can try out new champs and get some experience with them, but I have also gone from playing 5v5 Blind Pick to 5v5 Draft Pick, and that's a little new for me with banning but in the end it's actually really nice cause you get to see what you are up against and can counter it. I know I am just rambling on and all but I just want to give a brief description of what I have been playing lately. I will be adding some of my builds that I have been using lately and see what everyone thinks. Be gentle when you see them. XD

Well I guess that's it for this post! Hope you all have a great day! And see you on the Fields of Justice!

I've Noticed Something?

So I've noticed that the community doesn't approve of Pre-30s writing guides, or even asking for a review.
And I was just wondering, is there a particular reason why? I know it's partially because of most people not knowing the 'meta' for level 30 games, but on my server, people have already started jungling pre-30.
So in the end, we come back to the beginning, is there actually a specific reason why? Other than the normal 'Oh you haven't played a ranked game yet'?
Thanks.
:)

Guide Idea

Okay. So I've got this awesome idea I've started working on.
So I notice that most guides have unfinished champion matchups and I was wondering if maybe-just maybe- I could try my hand at writing counters? I mean, has anyone tried to do it yet? Actually finishing a full counter guide thingy?
Thanks.

Down to the K0R3 - Week 1, Sona Continuation

Hey there, K0R3 here with my second and final post on top of my Sona experiences!
In this post, I'll lend you my experiences with an AP-build for the (generally) support character and how I feel about it's synergy and viability in play.

Let me start off by saying; I still prefer this champ on her intended role. This could be solely due to the fact that I prefer playing support on bottom over AP toons in mid or otherwise. Regardless, Sona's AP build-potential is ridiculously fun and an all around blast to play.

Game one attempting this build I went mid, with Warwick in jungle, Tryndamere in top lane with Blitzcrank and Ezreal in the bottom lane.
Their team was running a Veigar opposing me in mid, with a Fiddlesticks jungle, Garen on top and Karma with Tristana on bottom.

Going in, the match up seemed rough, as I've always preferred a Fiddle jungler over Warwick and all to often a bad jungler can throw a game in the trash before anyone can do anything about it. Also I was nervous…

Why is support very important?

It is my first blog entry. But I could not think any other subject to discuss with you guys. So below you will find some reasons why the right supports are very important.
  • The support is going to sacrifice its life in order to save you
  • The support is going to help you cheer up and have fun in your games when most of the others won't
  • Are you a newbie in ranked games? They are going to force you to be support because you are last pick? Nope, the other fellow good summoner will choose to save your *** and he is going to replace on the support role only if you replace him on your prefered role.
  • They are healing the whole team the whole time and they are trying to improve your gaming performance
  • A good support never gonna get your kill, even if that is a minion or a champion
  • The support is gonna ward the lanes so you don't have to spend your own money to be safe from enemies
  • A support is always trustworthy and he is going to defend you on your team because he knows that you give your best
