Hi all, my name is Legàcy and I am a newcomer to League of Legends.

It has only been a month since I have started playing LOL but I want to, in-depth learn about 'becoming a better player'. As of current, I have not played a single ranked match and I have only been playing 5v5 online normal matches.

I would just like to ask the mobafire community as a rookie or inexperienced player; what should I look out for in the changes from unranked to ranked matches?

Also I am well aware that people may disregard this, however everyone has to start somewhere and I believe over time I will become a very high level skilled player.

I hate this community. I really do. Unoriginallity and cookie cutter is what ultimately makes up this goddam game and I hate it to death. Sure, having cookie cutter builds and what not is to be expected from any game. I mean, everyone in gunbound used boomer, everyone in pokemon wants a mega gengar, everyone in WoW plays rogue for pvp, ect. ect. But my god, this ****ing community is so ****ing horrible with the extent it takes cookie cutter to. I can close my eyes before the start of every game and predict what people are going to say. For example, Toshabi and Twilight Spangles go to a duo ranked queue. The following is expected to happen.

1st pick: Mid and adc

2nd pick: Mid.

3rd pick: **** you I called it first.

Hello everybody and welcome.

I just found out that nice little button named "BLOG" and after clicking on it, it asked me why don't I write something right now.

Exactly. Why? Because I have nothing to say to LoL or MOBAfire community? Because I just suck in writing? Because I don't know if anyone will ever bother to read it?

Maybe. But maybe not. So I will try my best to bring something interesting to you, random readers. And for now, I even may have an interesting stuff to write about. And that is - LEAGUE OF JUSTICE.

Recently I started to review cases in the Justice League and there are some interesting facts and other things I noticed. So for starters, I will post my thoughts and some helpful information for you on the cases, how to be a better judge, how to be a better reporter, and after all, how to be more sportsmanlike character :-)

My last blog, I talked about having trouble in games. I was always playing support and getting kind of pushed aside. Well, I've been breaking out of that. The lectures suggested by a commenter (thanks again!) have been helping me improve. I've been playing bots to try and get a low-stress practice zone...but it's biting me in the rear. Players don't seem to care about playing seriously and improving against bots. They treat it less like practice, and more like a competition to get kills.

Which leads to this tangent story, a game against bots. I picked Karma, and was going to go about being a support for the Ashe in lane with me. They were about the same level as me, but kept doing stupid things - 2v1, running into turret to chase with no minions around, not paying attention or retreating, so on. Add onto that our two top lane players arguing about KS (because they thought THAT was how you get IP and XP in matches), and this was shaping up to be the first Beginner Bot loss in a long ti…

Lifesteal and Spellvamp are problematic stats in LoL. They are complicated unnecessarily, hard to understand, and very restrictive.

The majority of Summoners are confused about how these stats work exactly, even Pros are unsure about the specifics. And for Riot Champion Designers, they struggle to maintain the balance between all the different spells on all 116 Champions. Some Champions can abuse Lifesteal and/or Spellvamp, and others find it abo****ely useless. Some Champions are nerfed into uselessness because of their ability to heal with these stats. I want to level the playing field.

My idea is to get rid of these two burden-of-knowledge stats... and replace them with one stat.

***For the sake of this essay, I will use the term 'Lifevamp' so that we do not confuse the term with Lifesteal or Spellvamp, and to show that I am combining them.***

I have been a League of Legends play off and on for the past 3 years. I started mid 2010, and have considered myself a casual player. Lately, I've been really into the game and am looking to improve in any way that I can. This is also the first time that I've seriously considered playing ranked, so my first goal is to get placed in a tier. Since Season 3 has come to an end, I suppose I will hold off on that until Season 4 comes into play, and in the meantime, I'll really zone in on what I can improve on, and what champions I want to completely dominate with.
