Hey hey,

My main reason for coming here today is that I tried to find your guide, but wasn't able to. Turns out it is listed as a build. This is a bug that pops up every once in a while, try republishing your guide so that it gets put in the proper place.

Besides that, this guide has come a long way since I reviewed it, a beautiful process to witness :D
I think it is good enough to Scout it, so I'll go ahead and do that :p

While yes, your guide is in general very neat, tidy and very presentable for a reader like myself to want to spend time on... I would like to offer you some advice to really help bring out your full potential as an author to our community of MOBAFIRE.

CHEATSHEET

Body Text Structure & Consistency

Alright, so you have a great idea for what you want with your guide but then there are clusters where there could be more effort put in, simply to tidy things up and match the rest of the guide in structure, so to be much more presentable.

The beginning of the guide starts off like this, which pulls someone in, but then suddenly switches gears, the border disappears, the text becomes a wall, certain borders around items are used for some items and the rest are left to look rater dull like THIS. I would highly recommend keeping the format throughout the entire guide.

The basic idea is to try to stay consistent with the rest of the guide, neat, tidy, great use of coding and a great use of presenting your information from a left to right manner. You don't need to list the item names under each item, instead use the BBCODE ((ITEM NAME)) in the body text, since all we as readers have to do is hover the icon or the name. It just seems out of place to consistently alter how things are presented here, I feel like you could definitely use some better use of coding if you think on it, allowing for images to "Pop" out to be the main focus if important like and items.

Scrolling down a bit more, once again the format gets a little messy and doesn't make me wanna keep reading. Remember! LEFT->RIGHT rather than LEFT-RIGHT-DOWN-RIGHT. It may be nothing to most but for me as a reader I like neat, clean cut lines. Everything to be one smooth transition. But we run into issues here and there with your guide, with the headers. A simple fix would be to reduce the size (easy) or re-word it so it all fits on one line. "Defensive Jungle Vision" / "Invade Vision: Raptor" that kind of stuff.

This pretty much sums up the majority of the base guide on what is currently visible, however, there is one last thing.

This is also something I would really like to see, you talk a lot about and his combos but... I would really like to see some visuals! If you look at other guides you see many previews showing off the combos and skills rather than a wall of text. This could be in the form of videos, gifs, twitch highlights, youtube videos. You get the idea.

conclusion

If you or anyone is looking for a new Jungle champion to try out, I wouldn't look anywhere else than here. While other guides may offer more upvotes and views, this upcoming guide to is sure to delight anyone interested in climbing & or simply doing well. It's, however, still one of the top Ekko Jungle guides out there currently.

Keep up the wonderful work, I hope to see more detail and passion put into it in the future.

It's a great guide to be honest, Im, not the best of junglers right now, and I see this guide as a pretty good start for anyone who is thinking of gaining Ekko, like myself. It's incredibly detailed as you even state when certain things spawn, which is really useful not just to the jungle but sometimes entire teams! Anyways, keep making awesome guides, ciao.

I wanted to ask you a couple questions as well, in the vague hope that youll answer and help out someone just starting ranked (no pressure tho); first off, what are your thoughts on rushing nashors tooth and then building your mythic? ive heard it helps clear and early dueling. second, what are your thoughts on going alacrity+coup de grace secondary? 1. Rushing Nashor's Tooth first.

This depends mostly on the build. If you are going for hybrid bruiser style Ekko then you will always be getting Nashor's Tooth first. However, this is a significantly less common build that is honestly just lower in quality compared to assassin Ekko. If you are going assassin Ekko then I don't suggest rushing Nashor's Tooth over Hextech Rocketbelt (or Night Harvester). These mythics simply give necessary power spikes in the early game for Ekko with the burst damage, mobility, and health.

2. So you're actually on the right track here to be a good Ekko player because you have already thought of Precision options. In the mid lane, it's common in high elos for Ekko to go Presence of Mind + Legend: Tenacity against high cc comps (which is usually most comps in that rank area). However, this is not very viable for Ekko in the jungle. Legend: Alacrity is not that good for Ekko as a burst assassin, but Presence of Mind and Triumph are useless with jungle mana regen and ultimate healing. The only useful option might be Coup De Grace, however I feel it's not worth it to sacrifice free boots or the sorcery secondary just for Coup De Grace. However, feel free to experiment, that's how you become a better player!

Hi @ paokgr, in the jungle we don't really take because even though it adds to his damage output, it prevents him from scaling as well as he does with . While it may be his main rune page in the mid lane, it works better there because he is in a 1v1 situation almost constantly when in lane, so therefore the proc is necessary to end fights as quickly as possible. He also does not have to use a slot for his jungle item when building his items and so can dedicate a slot to another AP item.

Cheatsheet

It might be a good idea to add some notes to the rune pages detailing when you go certain options (with examples like against X champions/teamcomps). I’ll go into more detail about the runes at the runes part of the review.
What is the ideal first base? My guess would be Stalker's Blade but you also listed Fiendish Codex in the same block without additional explanation.
You should add some notes to the situational items telling people when to buy what item. Since this note can get on the long side (the block contains 6 items) you should probably try to split the block into some smaller blocks.

Pros/Cons

I am not sure on the consistent damage part, Ekko has always been more burst oriented rather than DPS oriented. What part of his kit gives him consistent damage?

Runes

I do not play nor jungle myself so I did a bit of research on this.

Dark Harvest seems to be the most popular keystone out there. I am unsure about your reasons for taking Electrocute over DH though. For example, against tanks you’d probably not be able to oneshot them with elec anyway, so you might as well take DH. On the other hand, poke champs tend to be very squishy so you would probably not need the extra damage from elec.
The Sudden Impact explanation is a kind of a ramble… (more about that in the presentation part of the review). I think it would be sufficient to just state that it is straight up better than the other two options (and just leaving it at that). If options are not viable it is not necessary to mention them (unless it is an common option and you think it shouldn't be taken for some reason)!
Instead of talking about the fact that Hextech Flashtraption is not that useful, you should leave out Hextech Flashtraption altogether. You should also avoid saying that ‘ Perfect Timing takes up an early item slot’ and just say when it should be taken. (Also, when is that 10% where you do not take stopwatch in a CC heavy comp?)
Your Cosmic Insight description should just talk about why Cosmic Insight is good, not why the other options are bad. Besides that, what is your opinion on Future's Market instead of Cosmic Insight?
Why do you take adaptive force over attack speed? I researched and EVERY high elo Ekko jungle player I have seen takes attack speed. It simply speeds up your clear more than the adaptive force ever could ( & helps proccing passive)…
I am kinda skeptical of taking Absolute Focus… Ekko as a diving champ tends to be below 70% health (unless you’re assassinating them and then they’re dead anyway, even without this extra AP). So, is this extra AP really more valuable than the free boots & CDR from inspiration?
Alright, a question: what is your stance on taking Conqueror into teamcomps with a lot of tanks?

Summoner Spells

The Flash description is a bit strange… It is very like Ekko (going back in time and such) but I think you mean ‘you’d wish you grabbed it’

Items

At starting items you promise to tell something about jungle clears. Be careful when promising such things as I cannot find anything about jungle clears in your guide :( Do not make promises you do not fulfill.
Core items: straightforward & to the point. Out of curiosity: Why do you take Stalker's Blade over Skirmisher's Sabre on Ekko?
It might be a good idea to describe when you need tenacity/mpen/armor. In the guide title you specifically say ‘new player friendly’ and this is something new players might not be so sure about!
The second sentence of the Mejai's Soulstealer description is a bit of a ramble. You repeat yourself & there is a tiny spelling mistake ( ‘if you can this item’). In the spirit of new-player friendly: what is the most important thing to avoid with this item? Tell your readers that as well!
The Liandry's Torment description is counterintuitive… The item is best when fights are long and you are able to stack the madness passive (which gives you more damage). If you burst down enemies super quickly you will not be able to utilize this passive…
This is one of the reasons why this item is so good into tanky teamcomps. The other reason why it is so good into those comps is its max health % burn passive.
Morellonomicon is not really build to counter healing from ADC’s, it is usually build to counter specific champions that heal a lot ( Aatrox, red Kayn, Soraka, Vladimir). When up against ADC’s it’s sometimes better to build more damage (e.g. Rabadon's Deathcap) as you can easily oneshot them then (and they cannot heal back from that…). Although I guess you can make exceptions for healing focused ADC's (looking at Bloodthirster Draven...)
Void Staff description contains a tiny spelling mistake (‘so if the enemy is building mr against you’)

Ability description

This is basically a copy of the descriptions of the abilities. You could always look to expand it with the clips showcasing the abilities (you can yoink those from lolwiki) and explanations on how you should look to use abilities/what their main purposes are.

Laning phase/early game

I think pre-game planning actually deserves it's own section. Besides this example you could also give more generic ideas of which matchups could be more volatile than others (e.g. some champion classes have a lot more volatile matchups than others, take for example Zed vs Talon compared to Xerath vs Viktor or Sion vs Ornn compared to Riven vs Fiora; which all comes down to assassin vs assassin, tank vs tank etc)
Maybe you could rename the chapter either to laning phase or early game. They kind of mean the same...
One of the ways Ekko gets ahead of his opposition in the jungle is basically powerfarming. He is kind of similar to Graves in that regard, as that champ also really likes to powerfarm.

Midgame/lategame

Honestly, if you are going to talk about dragons and such I think you should make your own explanations rather than copying them from lolWiki. I have a strong dislike for copied content.
I am not sure why you talk about using Teleport on wards when this guide is about jungle Ekko.

Presentation

The presentation is alright. I feel like there is too little vertical space sometimes though. Some dividers are almost on top of text / some text is almost on top of text. It does the job, but you can definitely make some improvements as well.

There is a more concerning matter though: some descriptions in your runes section suffer from some very long sentences. The longer a sentence is, the harder it becomes to understand what it tries to say. And if people do not understand what you are trying to say… well what is the point of a guide? Anyway, you should try to limit your sentences to 25 ish words max. Here are the (few) sentences I found that were on the long side, you should try to rewrite those:

Dark Harvest 2nd and 3rd sentences
Sudden Impact 2nd sentence
Eyeball Collection 2nd and 3rd sentences

The main point of improvement of this guide lies within expanding on the 'new player friendly' part. You already covered the builds/runes but the gameplay sections are kinda lacking. A few things you could add to help some new players out:

How to clear jungle camps with Ekko (every jungle champ seems to have niche tricks)
Jungle clear routes
Where to place wards (to protect against invades)
How to fight as Ekko (how do you initiate fights, how do you play around your abilities, how do you play around the enemy abilities, what is your goal in teamfights, etc)
When do you use certain combo's? This is one of the benefits of making a combo section yourself rather than having a video - you can talk about the combo's.

That's about it for now. I hope you are able to do something with the feedback, feel free to reply if you have any questions/remarks.

I'll just address some stuff just to clarify:

When I said consistent damage I meant generally throughout the game states he'll have consistent damage, however this can obviously be misinterpreted and I am changing this once it is fully updated and republished.
Just for the sake of answering, Stalker's Blade is better than Skirmisher's Sabre on Ekko because he isn't looking for sustained fights (most often), and is looking to burst down opponents. The chilling smite can also allow you do slow an enemy for your team and then focus someone else.
