Welcome! I am Kewllkiddo a Diamond support main. I stream daily on my twitch where you can see educational and entertaining content. My main goal is to educate players about the carry potential in the support role, this role generally has been looked down upon by other players, and seen as boring. However with the right knowledge I believe the support role is the most entertaining role out there!

Why play Rell?
Rell has everything a strong kill lane needs, she brings in a great initiation, tons of CC, and fantastic peel. Her shield break on her Q is great to deal with champions like Morgana and overall she's very rewarding to play when you get the hang of her. If you enjoy setting up plays for your team, and carrying from support Rell is your champion.

Pros & Cons


PROS:
+ Great Peel
+ Good engage
+ Shield break
+ Great playmaking ability
+ Very Tanky
+ Great vs Tanks

Rell Peels like no other champion in League of Legends and that's exactly what her kit does. She pulls in or throws away any high damage assassins' all the while providing great lockdown for the high damage dealers to take care of them. If you are against a team that isn't looking to hard engage on you then she has great initiating tools which can be used offensively at a moments notice. She has some amazing flash combos, as well as some amazing base movespeed stats that make closing gaps easy.


CONS:
- Easy to dodge her W
- When your Flash is down Ult is hard to use
- Very punishable early game
- struggles vs Enchanters
- Not great from behind

Rell main weakness is that she is very punishable by the right lane, and if she is put behind it is very hard to make plays on her. When playing against an enchanter and poke bot lane, your main goal should be to either rush level 2 and force a fight, or to force a fight level 1. If you don't accomplish this then you will be put through a beating throughout the rest of the game, and that is not a fun way to play this champion. Make sure you make up for your weakness in these situations by either roaming or trading aggressively super early. The last thing you need is the enemy team to roll over you.
Early Game


When leashing level 1 make sure you are in armor form. This way you can tank with your shield and go back into mounted form with Metalmancy - Mount Up to get back to lane quickly.

Since the majority of your early game is very punishable try to make an aggressive trade level 1. Look for an Aggressive Metalmancy, followed by a couple autos to lower the enemy adc's resistances. This will greatly help you when it comes to getting through the early levels. If you manage to get the enemy adc low enough try freezing the lane and either zoning the enemy ADC off of farm and experience or going in for an engage if they overstep. This will allow you to snowball out of control. Sometime Rell does amazingly.

Upon reaching level 6 you can look to make a Flash play with your ultimate. This is great when paired with a jungle gank, for its nearly an easy kill every time. Make sure you coordinate with your team lots. Rell potential comes from her ability to work with her team and using her CC to lock down and immobilize enemies.
Summoner Spells


Flash is a must every time you play Rell, trying to substitute this for anything else is troll

Ignite is the ideal summoner 90 percent of the time. Ignite gives you high kill pressure in lane, counters Heal , and gives you an edge to most tanks which you are very strong against.

Exhaust is occasionally a good idea. Generally if you feel you need to take exhaust in a lane as Rell you probably shouldn't be playing her anyways. Much like Leona Rell is looking for aggressive all in's and kills in lane to snowball. Try to take full advantage of this and use Ignite most of the time. You won't regret it.
Abilities


Break the Mold : Rell's basic attacks steal 10% of the target's Armor penetration icon.png armor and Magic penetration icon.png magic resistance for 4 seconds and deal bonus magic damage equal to 8 − 16 (based on level) plus the total amount of armor and magic resistance stolen. Enemies can only be stolen from once but multiple enemies can be stolen from at a time. Subsequent attacks against a target that is already stolen from will only refresh the duration of the effect and attacking an enemy champion refreshes the duration for all nearby afflicted enemies.

Break the Mold steals a minimum of 5 − 12 (based on level) armor and magic resistance, reduced to 0 / 1 / 2 (based on level)

This is a great tank shredding ability, this is what makes Rell so great against tanks.

Q Shattering Strike : ACTIVE: Rell thrusts her lance in the target direction, destroying damage-mitigating Hybrid resistances shields of enemies hit before dealing them magic damage, reduced to 50% against enemies beyond the first. The first enemy hit is also afflicted with Break the Mold Break the Mold.

Keep in mind this is great for dealing with tank shields but not so much enchanter shields. The reason being, most enchanters have other ways of stopping you.

Ferromancy: Crash Down W:
PASSIVE: While mounted, Rell gains 5% − 15% (based on level) Movement speed icon.png bonus movement speed, which is only 25% − 38% (based on level) as effective for 3 seconds when she takes damage from non-Minion icon.png minions and is removed for 4 seconds when she becomes Stun icon.png immobilized.

ACTIVE: Rell Dash.png leaps to the target location over 1.5 seconds, transforming her mount into durable armor and upon impact dealing magic damage to nearby enemies and Airborne icon.png knocking them up for 1 second.

MAGIC DAMAGE:
70 / 105 / 140 / 175 / 210 (+ 40% AP)
While dismounted, she gains the ability to cast Ferromancy: Mount Up Ferromancy: Mount Up.

This ability can only be cast while mounted. Rell can cast Attract and Repel Attract and Repel and Magnet Storm Magnet Storm during the transformation.

PASSIVE: While dismounted, Rell gains Armor icon.png 10% bonus armor and Magic resistance icon.png 10% bonus magic resistance and a Hybrid resistances icon.png shield that lasts until destroyed or casting Ferromancy: Mount Up Ferromancy: Mount Up, but her base movement speed is modified to 250.

SHIELD:
40 / 70 / 100 / 130 / 160 (+ 13% of maximum health)
Ferromancy Mount Up.png
ACTIVE: Rell transforms her armor into a mount, gaining 15% bonus movement speed for 3.5 seconds, increased when moving towards enemy champions.

INCREASED MOVEMENT SPEED:
25 / 30 / 35 / 40 / 45%
Rell's next basic attack during this time consumes the effect to become Excessive Force 2.png unstoppable, have a 0.2-second cast time, gain Range icon.png 100 bonus attack range, deal bonus magic damage, Dash.png charge at the target, Stun icon.png stun them for 1 second, and Airborne icon.png fling them over herself.

BONUS MAGIC DAMAGE:
10 / 25 / 40 / 55 / 70 (+ 30% AP)

Ferromancy: Mount Up resets Rell's basic attack timer.

While mounted, she gains the ability to cast Ferromancy: Crash Down Ferromancy: Crash Down.

This ability can only be cast while dismounted.


Rell E: Attract and Repel :
PASSIVE: Rell forms a Focused tether between her and the ally bound by Attract and Repel, which is disabled while the remaining cooldown is greater than 2.5 seconds. While the tether persists, the ally gains 10% bonus armor and 10% bonus magic resistance.

ACTIVE: Rell magnetically binds herself and the allied champion nearest to the cursor with Attract and Repel. Rell can then recast Attract and Repel while the tether persists.

RECAST: Rell erupts the tether, dealing magic damage to and Stun icon.png stunning all enemies between and around her and the bound ally for 1 second.

MAGIC DAMAGE:
80 / 120 / 160 / 200 / 240 (+ 30% AP)
Rell can self-target to dispel the current bind. Only one ally can be bound at a time, and selecting a new ally overrides the previous bind.
Attract and Repel will incur a 2.5-second Cooldown reduction icon.png cooldown with no cost if Rell binds to an ally or self-targets.

Rell Ultimate: Magnet Storm :
ACTIVE: Rell erupts with magnetic fury, Airborne icon.png pulling all nearby enemies towards her and creating a field of gravitational force around her for the next 2 seconds that deals magic damage to nearby enemies every 0.25 seconds over the duration and continuously Kinematics icon.png drags them towards her.
Items

Why do we build these items on Rell?



Locket of the Iron Solari is built because it provides all the defensive stats Rell needs as well as amazing utility for your ally's. Its a far better option then Shurelya's Battlesong for you already have all the engage you could possibly need with your abilities.

Zeke's Convergence is built because its amazing passive, which as of patch 10.25 has been buffed once again. The bonus damage you provide when designated to your accomplice is incredibly high, because you have so many avenus to proc this items ability its a must buy.

Abyssal Mask is a must buy alongside Zeke's Convergence the two abilities synergize extremely well together and once you are at this level of itemization you are practically boosting your adc's damage by 25%.

Knight's Vow is an amazing item when your ADC is at risk of being assasinated or the enemy team is extremely far ahead. You should consider knights vow when you are behind or if the enemy team has a fed carry. This item is extremely underated and can potentially save games. Consider buying this over Zeke's Convergence if needed. Play it by ear, and build accordingly.

Situational Items



Dead Man's Plate is an amazing buy vs heavy AD compositions. It provides Rell with much needed movement speed and high hit points and armor. If you are ever facing an entire AD team buy this.

Force of Nature is great against heavy AP team comps. Similar to Dead Man's Plate Force of Nature provides Rell with high movement speed while in combat, it essentially make it feel like your dismounted form movement speed reduction doesn't even exist when you have this item. It's a fantastic buy most of the time.

Frozen Heart is a fantastic item to counter heavy ad comps who are also very auto attack reliant. consider this item vs Lucian mid or vayne top Frozen Heart has an amazing unique passive don't underestimate the power of this item in the right games. It can make the difference between life and death in many different situations.

Warmog's Armor is a fantastic choice when all you want is to be extra beefy. The health regen passive essentially makes it so you never have to back. Consider this item on Rell as a last item in most games. You just need to assure you are above the 3000 HP mark, after purchasing the item to make use of the unique passive which provides 5% max health regen per second. Crazy strong right?

As of right now, I believe these are the most strong items in the game, this may change in the future though. So I will be watching over what players are doing with a hawk eye and meticulously updating this as things change!

Fun Facts!


Rell was first mentioned in Samira's Samira's story, Daredevil Impulse, prior to her reveal.

Rell is 16 years old as mentioned in her biography (as of 996 AN).

Rell is implied by her voice lines and multiple Rioters to be bisexual.

Rell parents come from very different parts of Runeterra, making her biracial.

Rell shapes her mount as a horse instead of a basilisk as a form of rebellion against Noxus Crest icon.png Noxus' military system.

Rell's horse does not have a name.

Her armor are partly extracted from the ground, partly other people gear, so it sometimes have steel, pig iron and whatever in between.

Rell power is largely not electromagnetic based. At the moment, it's unlikely she is capable of pulling metal from inside others' bodies anytime soon.

Rell likely does not have knowledge of Mordekaiser Mordekaiser. Her connection to the Iron Revenant was kept secret during production to enforce this speculation.

Currently Morderkaiser has not given attention to Rell yet either.

Rell could defeat Mordekaiser's Mordekaiser's physical metal form, since he's not aware of her or her power, but he could just retreat to the death realm to reform, likely without a metal armor.

While there is no concrete answer on if Rell power work on Demacia Crest icon.png Demacian steel, it can be inferred that should an Demacian group of soldiers try to fight Rell, they will fail miserably and swiftly.
