hello! my name is Silvy and I am currently a Platinum Mid/ADC. I've always enjoyed playing nontraditional carries in the bot lane, and since Veigar is one of my favorite mages, I've enjoyed playing him many times in the bot lane.

at the time of writing this, I am currently plat 2 with a 71% WR, as well as a 64% WR on Veigar bot lane :)



this guide is not only based off my own experiences, but off of current trends and what high elo players are going.

hello and welcome to my CDR Veigar guide in the bot lane! this build is personally my favorite build going into Season 11 and my go-to build for Veigar. since Veigar scales infinitely, building CDR allows you output lots of damage while still scaling.

at the time of writing this build, I have a 64% WR with Veigar, and have found success using this build in both the BOT lane and MID lane. if you like spamming abilities and providing CC/utility for your team, you should try this Veigar build.

CDR VEIGAR RUNDOWN

with the changes in season 11 to Ability Haste, this build opens up Veigar's build path to many strong AP items. Veigar currently gets outclassed by many other mages, but building full CDR can help set him apart by having a powerful CC tool with low CD. without further ado, let's run down runes and items really quick.

Runes

I recommend going the standard Arcane Comet build with Transcendence as it provides more than enough base CDR. you can also opt for the flat ability haste as opposed to damage but I prefer to take damage > ability haste.

Items

the mythic item option that synergizes well with this build is Liandry's Torment due to it's mythic passive providing ability haste. the extra bit of burn damage also helps with waveclear.



since this build uses a lot of mana, this item is a must-have. Archangel's Staff also scales very well, helping Veigar as he is a scaling champion.



while other boot options work, Ionian Boots of Lucidity provides you with lots of ability haste and summoner spell haste.



Cosmic Drive provides major CDR and helps you stay alive with movement speed.
