Champion Build Guide

[11.3] Tristana - strong, but not that simple champion

By BluMistah
Who is Tristana?
so although it seems like a simple Champion, there is a lot of details you need to pay attention to!

First, her range scales with your levels! so even if most enemies will outrange you on the lane, later on it may be the other way arround.

Second, when you kill a minion, the auto-attack will explode and damage nearby minions (and champions)! This is very importnat at farming, especially its use for quick pushing and farming under turret.

Third, not many people are actually aware of this too, but you can use your E on turrets! and when your E explodes, it damages stuff arround. Just watch out for any enemy champions cause damaging them even by this way will give you a nice kiss from turret.

Next, few people actually knows, but the more attack speed you have, the quicker her E is being casted. this means, that before going all in, right after using W, you should also use your Q before using your E to save those precious milliseconds before first auto-attack.

Another thing you need to know about Tris, is that her W resets if you detonate your E by auto-attacks or kill an enemy. Keep this in mind, it allows you to jump in, get a kill, and get out before getting killed. Its high risk high reward but it can work out.

Finally, we have her Ult. A simple knockback, right? well, you can also use this in combitnation with your W, jumping behind enemy, and using Ult to throw them under your turret. Sometimes just as much as 1 turret hit is enough to give you that extra damage you need. Be cautious tho, as this move can be easily predicted.
Early Game
Just to stress this out from previous chapter, your range scales with levels. This means that altough you may suffer first few levels, you gonna be much more powerful later. Still, you can use your W to go for all in as soon as at lvl 3 if your support can provide good opening. You gonna rely on support a lot, so I recommend to get a friend to play a Duo with you. Most supports can immobilize enemy just for few seconds, and if you miss the opportunity by those precious seconds, from a clear double kill it may be a suicide jump.

If you play solo none the less, I recommend sticking just to farming early on. Try to freeze the line, let enemy push a bit and hope for your jungler to give you more opportunities for all in.

Speaking of jungler, do not forget to help with buff and dragons! a nice tip for taking a dragon, try to get to a position where you can escape from potential fight with your W.
Mid Game
Soo, for me, mid game starts when first turrets are getting down and at that time, all you seek is teamfights. Stick arround your team all the time, push turrets with your E, farm a lot. Whenever a major teamfight breaks out, it can often become a complete mess, so dont mind jumping forward bit more bravely, as enemies may not even notice you sometimes.

But keep in mind, even with your jumps, you are still pretty fragile so never go anywhere solo. Its just unnecessary risking. Your W is not always working as intended (thanks RIOT) and often can be cancelled by most ridiculous things.
Late Game
Unless you are not playing against similar super late game champion, you should completely dominate the game by this stage. Bewaer of your weak healthbar tho! getting some lifesteal may be often essential for your success.

You can allow yourself for some killhunt to have a nice KDA but overall, you should just focus on objectives. You can take dragons, baron, and turrets pretty quickly with using your E on all of those.

Keep staying close to your team and just push enemy base. Very often there will be a little they can do to stop you after some 35 mins mark unless you are not too much behind, and the victory shall be yours.
