I started writing this guide as a fun little side project, I hope you can learn a thing or two from it. And as always, if you have any suggestions, feedback, or issues with this guide, please don't hesitate to leave a comment!! I'd appreciate it, as this is the first time I've ever written a MobaFire guide.

Your bread and butter combo. ( Q > W)

You always use this combo if you want to get on top of someone, and it's difficult to avoid (assuming you're not laning against someone with dashes, blinks, jumps, or CC immunity) due to your Q applying a 50% slow.

Using Tongue Lash to extend your Devour range ( Q > R)

This one's part of the Q tooltip, but a lot of people don't know about it or forget.
You can land Q on a target that already has 3 stacks of An Acquired Taste to extend the range of your ultimate. This can catch people off-guard!

Using Tongue Lash right before Regurgitate ( R > Q)

You can use your Q riiiiiiiight before you regurgitate enemy champions! It'll apply the Q, passive and %HP magic damage from your ult and it's impossible to avoid if you get the timing right. It'll apply a stack of your passive to whoever you just regurgitated to let you know you got it right!

Try to use your Q when your Ult is about to time out. Hop on League's practice tool and try your best to get the combo down to a T. It'll help you secure some important kills!

Using your Abyssal Dive inside of walls to hide the animation and extend the range

You can use your W inside large walls to make your Abyssal Dive completely invisible to the enemy team, as well as largely extending the range! Below is an example of this mechanic you can use if you're on the blue side of the map.

You can use your Devour to save your allies through walls!

Is one of your teammates in a sticky situation after trying to steal an objective, and you aren't quite there to save them? No problem! Tell your ally to get close to a wall so you can rescue them from certain death! Below is an example of this mechanic in both the Dragon and Baron/Herald pit. (This applies to enemy champions with three stacks of An Acquired Taste too.)

Using Gargoyle Stoneplate during your Abyssal Dive

Normally you can't convert your grey health into a shield while you channel your W, however you can get something similar with Gargoyle's!

Using Zhonya's Hourglass while swallowing a teammate or an enemy

Use this to stall out fights! Both you and your swallowed ally will be free from harm for 2.5 seconds. Zhonya's Hourglass is a top tier item into champions with any kill resets (Jinx, Viego, Pyke, etc.)

Frostfire Gauntlet's mythic passive increases your Tounge Lash range!

One of the reasons Frostfire Gauntlet is your go-to mythic for the top lane is due to your Q size scaling. Below are some examples of just how long your range can get!

Look at the gap between Tahm and the actual Tounge Lash VFX!!! That's how big the hitbox can extend (Although it's rare to achieve this since this would require the game to go past 40 minutes and for you to sell your boots.)
