ABOUT US
Hello! If you came to this point and want to play ad tf, you are just in the right place.

Hi I'm Sarmenti aka u/RumtheCrow from tfmains reddit. I've been playing TF for 6 years now and i have more than 1mil. I started using ad tf at the end of s8 by seeing Arthur, aka AdriiCasi and CaptainjackD's ad tf games and started playing it seriously.

Twisted Tea Fate (u/CuatroBoy on Reddit) helped me with the more popular on-hit build in this guide. He's also a 1 mil mastery platinum rank TF main and has been playing him since season 8. "The on-hit build comes online a lot earlier into the game which is very important for a hyper-carry type of build, and we've seen variations of this build in high-elo across multiple regions around the world."

After the item rework we were discussing item builds on the TF MAINS discord server than I came up with this build. Kraken slayer with domination runes. Arthur started using it too and he found success and plays this as his main tf build so you can say it's challenger approved.

IMPORTANT: MATHEMATICALLY CORRECT BUILD IS EXPERIMENTAL AND MOSTLY 4FUN
ITEMS

Berserker's Greaves

You rush tier 2 boots on TF very often because movement speed is inherently more valuable on him than other champs. This puts him ahead of everyone else in movespeed early on in the game which allows you to land gold cards, and roam/rotate more efficiently.

First Core Item

These are your options for first item. Kraken Slayer is stronger if you're fighting a lot in lane or early skirmishes, Statikk Shiv is better if you're not fighting your lane opponent that much, and want priority to roam. Shivv is also good if you're vs a champion with good wave-clear so you can match their push better.

Mythic Options

For your mythic options, Guinsoo's Rageblade synergiizes with TF best, and is a big powerspike for him because of his Stacked Deck. Infinity Edge offers a ton of damage and scales better than on-hit, however it lacks attack speed, which means you may need to bridge another attack speed item like Runaan's Hurricane Phantom Dancer Statikk Shiv Kraken Slayer in order to maintain your DPS.

Other Choices for 2nd Item or Later

Runaan's Hurricane offers even more waveclear, a lot of attack speed, and more damage if you're in closer range during a teamfight. Phantom Dancer enables you to kite better and also duel better. Rapid Firecannon increases the range of your Pick A Card in the case that you're vs a longer range team. Blade of the Ruined King is a solid item with a mix of anti-tank damage and life steal. Wit's End grants a ton of magic damage on-hit, kiting, and magic resistance for when you're vs heavy AP.

Last Items

Bloodthirster is a very strong item later in the game, it grants up to 40 additional AD when healthy, and provides a ton of sustain with life steal. Lord Dominik's Regards and Mortal Reminder are for dealing with tanky threats or heavy healing comps. Mercurial Scimitar is very situational and should only really be bought when you're vs very heavy CC, or important ultimate like Malzahar or Mordekaiser.
MAIN GUIDE

As AD TF you have some pros and cons against AP TF

PROS

    * Can solo kill most squishes thanks to his gold card.

    * Potential to 1v1 any champion in game.

    * Can solo carry.

    * Wins lane pretty often.

    * Unexpected Hybrid damage.

    * Early power spike.

CONS

    * Low range due to not leveling up q

    * Falls off late game sligthly.

    * Hard to play against control mages

    * Needs EXCESSIVE amounts of mechanical knowledge.

    * Hard to get back to the game if you get hardstomped.

    * You're gonna get flamed.

PLAYSTYLE
As ad twisted fate you have 2 roles. ADC with self peel or Assassin with a global dash. You can play like a full ADC scaling and sitting backline or mix it up and ult backline to take down squishies.

LANING

As ad tf you are not weak and can 1v1 pretty much any midlaner without fear. Try to punish people who don't respect your damage by chunking half of their hp when they get too close and try to fight you with their hp/skills missing.
When it is a losing lane like vs a control mage all you gotta do is farm and roam like ap tf. You can take out control mages in a 1v1 since you outdamage them but you need to waste flash in order to get on auto attack range because a syndra or vel'koz wouldn't let you close to them. With TF's gold generating passive it's easy to get items while only farming.

GAME PLAN

EARLY GAME:Getting 1-2 kills in lane or farming to use our gold generator passive. We look into 2v2 skirmishes because of our early game power and we move on to the mid game gameplan.

MID GAME: Mid game is where tf shines. You got your Kraken, you got your PD, you got your IE and now you are the most feared dude on the rift. Look for misspositioned adc's and mages to ult and get a free kill, force teamfigths to deal hilarious amounts of damage in a really short time or split push.

Split Pushing: While split pushing you have 2 choices. R away when you see someone walking towards your lane or welcome them with your gold card + aa. This depends on your confidence and your ability to kite because you can probably kill half of the champions on the game if your are kiting well with ad tf.

LATE GAME: On late game unlike AP TF you fall of a bit. Try to play more like a flanker and look for offpicks. On late game you can still take out any squisy on 1v1 but their enchanter or warden sup is full build too and they are not alone anymore. Look for flanks in teamfigth with Gate(R2) and run away after your stun goes off on the target you ulted to. Split push when they are stacked 5 man mid and initiate the flanking technology from there.
