14.2 BEST KOG BUILDS... new season new builds

By afrente do tempo
note about new season
so we get into season 14. Im still trying the new itens and searching for strong builds for u guys.
So after testing and playing a lot (got top 1 kog'maw world... for now at least >.<)
the conclusions i got was. U need get resistances as fast as u can. but cannot give any tiny bit of damage, in other words, making efficient itens is the key. Terminus is a GREAT choice for 6 item, it's r good for giving you a last resourse in the late game.
it's overral better to do bork first item so abuse that.
Recommend buying chain vest early (maybe even after first item for counter letality champions).
BAN CAIT, if against lucian millio = dodge
can't play against varus + ashe too... there are so many unplayable machups but you can win if play perfectly
Hit Q and win trade.
Use W, space and win (just with range advantage).
Don't waste your W. It's your win condition!
Be careful ulting, you need 80 to W Q at least.
You don't need to build full damage every game, try find the best itens and win more games!
How positioning in the team fights or some skirmishs

Early Game

Your main goal in the early stages is to farm safely. In order to do that you can wiggle before farming minions, focusing to dodge the enemy ability. try be behind your minions and hit Q or E(if doing the ap start) when they are going to farm.
In early fights you can't go in 3, wait and fell the best timing to go (maybe after they using all abilities).

Mid Game

In this stage if you're realy ahead you don't need to care about enemies, unsless they have some target cc or a strong enemy.
If your got camped or doesn't play well in the early game, is the same thing for early game. Wait for enemy abilities and maybe some allies die. don't waste your W if you can't go in, otherwise its 8 sec cooldown that u can't do any damage.

Late Game

If you reach this far in the game i can just hope for your best. After enemy buying MR you can't do the enouth damage and the enemy can hard focus you and easily shut down. Some tips are just fighing if flash / second spell is up and dont face checking brushs or river.
What build i do? / Item explanation
So before talking about the items and the reason I built them, I'll talk about what stats Kog'maw needs and the differences between starting with Experimental Hexplate and Guinsoo's Rageblade.

Stats explanation

  1. Atack speed
The core stat for this champiom. More attack speed means more damage from W.
  2. MS
MS is important for walking up into the enemy. If you have less MS than your enemy, you cannot hit him properly.
  3. Health
Because you're walking for the enemy team in most cases, it's inevitable that you'll get hit back.
  4. Resistance
Do the same as health, resistances help you tank enemy damage.
  5. AP/AD
Because you're getting lots of attack speed, this stats boosts your damage output. W damage (AP), auto damage (AD)

Guinsoo or Hexplate?

After playing more and testing different builds in this new season, I came to the conclusion that Guinsoo first, it's better when your team needs more damage early or when you are smurfing or in lower elos, where I won't be hard punished early in the game. Hexplate is a superior option with multiple uses; you can use it for chase, retreat, farm, and so on. At the end, what matters most is how you use the item, not the item itself.

  • Experimental Hexplate
So, about this item, unlike what you imagine, you don't need to hold you R every time. Use it for farming, doing camps, or even getting back to lane. With 55% AS total and 300 HP, this is a perfectly balanced item for starting.

  • Guinsoo's Rageblade
Guinsoo is a solid option for dealing damage, try stacking up before fights. I suggest you do it after bork and runnans for greater damage if you aren't rushing it.

  • Blade of the Ruined King
This is a solid item for chasing enemies, kiting them, and having some sustain in midgame. Great against HP staking.

  • Runaan's Hurricane
The best item for team fighting and farming. The bolts help you a lot, but not that much in 1v1.

  • Locket of the Iron Solari
The cheapest tank item. It's good when you don't have much gold and need to be tankier soon.

  • Jak'Sho, The Protean
More expensive than Solari, but performs better. Can hold the component before doing damage to itens and after finishing Jak'Shoo

  • Wit's End
Really strait forward. Do against AP damage, and you don't want to give your damage for it.

  • Randuin's Omen
Great tank item when facing Crit ad. If they dive you and aren't doing Crit, I recommend Unending Despair.

  • Unending Despair
This is one of the best tank items, IMO. If they stack into you and do not have enough damage to kill you instantly, this item SHINES SO MUCH. The sustain it gives is great, and the status is the same as Randuin's.

  • Kaenic Rookern
Another incredible tank item. In a game, I did this one as a second item, and the enemy vlad was healing me almost (he has 2-3 items).

  • Frozen Heart
Solid option when you already have HP and need a huge amount of armor and are dealing with DPS damage.

  • Cosmic Drive
A great last item or 6° item. The MS helps when you need to kite the enemy team or orb walk into them.

  • Trinity Force
Not the greatest item ever made, it's a solid option when you really can't reach the enemy team, like against Jhin, Pyke, Jayce, and Hwei (a really specific case). And this item also gives you a nice amount of MS.

  • Hextech Rocketbelt
Rockebelt can be used as last item and as a 6° too. You need to use this item as a dash, not only as a damage tool. walk up and when the enemy team uses a skill, dash sideways(like a vayne Q or zeri E).

  • Terminus
If you don't know what to build as the last item and they are stacking resistances, THIS IS THE ITEM.

  • Riftmaker
An old-school item, not that great nowadays, but can work in some cases against lots of melle and with a prolonged fight.

  • Iceborn Gauntlet
Great tank option when facing almost full AD comps. The slow can help you a lot. A little trick you can use with sheen items is to auto-skill them (your auto-skill aplies the sheen effect).
ALACRITY IN MY OPINION IS BETTER IN S14. You have so many red buffs and you can build riftmaker for sustain. but still preference

Bloodline if not building bork early.
Alacrity if building bork early.

This is preference, please try this runes in different machups and use by your feeling.
In this guide I show a lot of builds that can be done in diferents games. Try and see by yourself witch are the best itens and win more games. DON'T COPY FROM U.GG OR OP.GG
