I'm Benciak and I main of Botlane role, I especially like to play Lucian, who is my main.Please read the Notes in runes, items and champions threatens / synergies, because I explain there why you should sometimes pick those things over other. After i played like 20 games with 90% win ratio i tought that i have to write about it. Lucian + Milio This duo is specially broken on botlane and im gonna tell you everything you need to know to play it well.

🔥 Lucian + Milio Bot Lane Combo – Overview
Lucian and Milio form a high-pressure, mobility-focused bot lane duo with strong poke, solid sustain, and incredible mid-game skirmishing. This combo is all about empowered auto-attacks, mobility, and short trade dominance.

🎯 Why It Works
Lucian’s passive (Lightslinger) allows him to double auto after using an ability. When paired with Milio’s E (Warm Hugs) or W (Cozy Campfire), these autos gain extra range and on-hit damage thanks to Milio’s passive (Fired Up!).

Milio's E shield + movement speed lets Lucian dash in, trade hard, and dash out safely.

Cozy Campfire (W) extends Lucian’s attack range during trades, making it easier to poke or all-in squishy targets.

Milio’s Q (Ultra Mega Fire Kick) provides peel and disengage, helping Lucian survive dives and ganks.

🔄 Combo Pattern
🌀 Ideal Trade:

Milio uses E on Lucian as he dashes in with E (Relentless Pursuit).

Lucian casts Q through a minion or directly on the enemy.

Passive double shot triggers Milio’s passive twice (extra magic damage).

Milio activates W to extend Lucian’s range for follow-up autos.

If needed, use Milio Q for zoning or knock-up peel.

🧨 All-in Potential:

Once Lucian hits level 6, his R (The Culling) can be cast inside Milio's W, giving him massive range and DPS, especially with Gale Force or Sheen-based items.

Press the Attack is the best keystone on Lucian right now. It'll give you a nice bit of burst as well as increase your DPS and increase your teams damage as well it proc nicely with his pasive.

Triumph Its life saver in fights. Its really usefull because your build doesnt have healing at all.Most games as Lucian 20g per takedown is huge advantage for Lucian because of his early game huge burst dmg.

Legend: Bloodline I would recommend this rune because of Lucian lack of life steal in build. As you can see above, Lucian doesnt have items for healing at all. so this rune is needed if you want to stay alive longer and have better laning phase. It stacks up to 9% life steal which is really usefull.

Coup de Grace Because of Lucian Nami strong early game it gives lots of damage to enemies who have less than 40% health. Huge burst from Lucian + This rune, makes you one shot machine in early and mid game. This rune is most important because simply it does most damage in your average game

Taste of Blood same as Bloodline it gives you lots of healing (based on lvl) when you damage enemy champion.

Ravenous Hunter same as Bloodline It gives you 1.5% omnivamp per stack up to 7.5%. With all these runes you dont need life steal to stay alive in fights or in laning phase

🌅 Laning Phase – Lucian + Milio
Lucian + Milio have a strong early-game trading pattern and should look to control the lane through short bursts, wave management, and safe poke. While not the most all-in heavy lane, their mobility and range advantage make them lane bullies against most enchanters and scaling lanes.

🎯 Level 1–2: Early Pressure
Power Spike: Level 2
Rush level 2 by killing the first full wave and three melee minions on the second wave. As soon as you level up:

Milio takes E (shield + MS)

Lucian takes Q or E

Dash in with Lucian E + passive proc

Milio uses E just before Lucian trades to activate Fired Up!

➡️ Look for quick, safe trades: auto → ability → passive autos → retreat.
Avoid extended fights unless you're sure the enemy can't all-in.

🔥 Mid-Lane Phase (Levels 3–6): Zone & Trade
Use Lucian Q through minions to poke and apply pressure.

Milio should use E proactively to enable trades, or reactively to shield damage from enemy poke.

Place W (Cozy Campfire) behind Lucian to extend auto attack range, allowing him to poke or CS safely.

Don’t spam abilities unnecessarily — wait for ability + passive trade windows to maximize damage.

➡️ Your main goal is to chip away at the enemy while maintaining enough mana and HP for a bigger trade or potential all-in.

⚠️ Matchup Awareness
Into poke lanes (e.g., Caitlyn, Karma):
Play safe early, use Milio’s E and W defensively. Look for a level 3–4 trade when you can dodge their abilities.

Into engage lanes (e.g., Leona, Nautilus):
Stay behind the wave, save Milio’s Q to interrupt engages. Lucian should dash backward if they go in. Don't overextend unless the engage is on cooldown.

Into scaling lanes (e.g., Jinx, Lulu):
Play aggressively. Force short trades, deny CS with Lucian Q poke, and control the wave near your tower to avoid jungle ganks.

Lucian is really strong in mid game and late game. You shouldnt go anywhere without your support because enemies gonna try to focus you.

On your own theres big chance that you will get smacked. In teamfights when you see that enemies are going to engage, use your Ultimate to deal HUGE damage and delete enemy frontline from the fight. Then try to focus their main DPS and stay away from theirs crowd controls like stuns or roots. In many fights you should be a little bit late and stay behind. Let your enemies waste their skills and then you can go in for free kills. Or if you are playing with Cleanse you can try to engage by your own but you have to be really patient to dont make stupid mistake and loose teamfight. Dont use your Ultimate to early because its gonna be total waste. Remember that you can always cancel that so you can focus on the targets that are the most dangerous for you.

You should focus on farming to at least 3 items like Infinity Edge Navori Flickerblade and Essence Reaver. Then you can stay with team and hold your base.

Flash For me flash is the most important spell in the game, It can be used defensively or offensively. Without it you gonna be the easiest champion to catch in your team so enemies gonna gank you all the time and you will get focused in fights.

Heal is a life saver on your lane. It can save you and your support many times in fights 2v2 or 2v3. It helps you a lot on ganks and with movement speed it gives you can run away or close gaps between you and enemies lines.

When you start with Doran's Blade you can camp in bushes shows with red circles
In these bushes you can camp at first level so you will get free first blood. Enemy adc wont waste Flash to run away or its gonna be too late for him to run away.

Never do early dives it can mess up your laning phase. You can play really agressive but remember that enemy jungler will watch your bot all the time just to gank you. The biggest enemy on botlane is enemy tower. Remember that your passive can kill 2 minions in one auto attack.

📉 Patch 12.17: Electrocute interaction nerfed
Riot removed a key interaction: Nami's Tidecaller’s Blessing (E) used to count as multiple spell casts, enabling easy Electrocute procs when paired with Lucian.

As of patch 12.17 (Sept 2022), E only counts as one spell, meaning you now need three separate abilities to trigger Electrocute—dramatically reducing early burst damage for the duo
