Champion Build Guide
How to Maokai
This champion is currently super strong in the meta. Your goal should not be to win lane (but ofc good if you can) but instead just try to farm as good as you can and dont die. However try to setup your lane for gank so jungle can easy come and kill your opponent. Important thing to know is that alot of champions in top is stronger than you in lane. But you scale insanely good and if you have not fallen behind you will be a monster to deal with in teamfight.
In teamfight you should be the one engaging because your R is very good for that (can also be used as a disengage). And try to either Zone of their carries or CC and kill if you can.
This champion is really easy also, shouldn't take more than 5-10 games to get a hang of him. He works as a blind pick but I would still recommend to last pick him. Because if you first pick him then enemy might pick champion such as Gwen, Kai'sa, Viego, Fiora... Champions that deal % hp dmg and true dmg. Which kills you very easy. The GOLDEN opportunity to pick him is when they dont have champions like these. Because that means you will last very long in the fight and be extremly annoying to deal with.
Maokai is not only tanky and good in teamfight. He also can put his sapplings as vision. So make sure to use them wisely. Super useful when setting up drake or baron fight, or any objective in general. AND MAKE SURE TO PUT THEM IN BUSHES!
