Introduction To Awesomeness
Pros
Tahm Kench is really good at avoid ganks and helping ADC's with CC with his W, and just spamming Q in their faces. One reaching level 3, you can take twice more damage with your E for your ADC which is really convenient later on. In late game, you can have an approximate of 4000 health + your E which can last about 2000 health meaning you will be basically invincible.
Cons
Tahm Kench is not really a champion that goes in and dives them instantly at levels 1-3 (basically like other champs). Although you may have the good feeling you can tank, I encourage you to wait till you get one core item in your slot first. Later on people tend to target the tanky Tahm Kench as if an ADC build armor penetration, your health may decrease in a faster rate so I recommend you go with your ADC, mid laner, top laner, or jungle.
If you have reached my recommended full build, you are off to a invincible lifetime with Kench. Make sure the ADC is in backlines kiting without being hit as you go frontline to tank all the damage. When getting a bit low, wait for Warmog's to fill the health bar up as then you can initiate again!
When you receive word that the jungler is going to gank a pushed lane (opponents near your tower), you normally would go to the river bush closest to your lane without being detected and ult the jungler a couple flashes away from them. This locks the opponent in both directions making the chase a lot easier.
Team work with Tahm is really important for team fights. One wrong W, could lead to the death of your ADC and turn the game around easily. In a normal 2v2, the ADC would focus on the other ADC as you would be either helping him, or getting the support. You need to land your Q's and if they are far away from the tower, start your 3 stack passive initiation as you can either Q or W (stun or eat) them before they get under tower again. Be sure to look out for the minions as they might be a big problem later on. Here are the possible scenarios...
If your ADC manages to land a kill off the support or ADC and you are chasing the last person (not under tower), if the champion decides to fight both of you (example would be Vayne, with insane life steal), you would eat your ally no matter what health, land 3 autos on the champion, and Q for the stun. The reason to that is to get the CC onto the enemy without having the ADC to take any damage and for their abilities to cool down. Best time to eat the ally would be when he/she uses most of her abilities and when you are in range to auto the champion 3 times.
Your ADC has died, your mission to W them has backfired and that doesn't matter anymore, now you gotta run. You have to constantly remember to Q the enemy champion as much as you can as they constantly chase you due to the massive slow they get. Keep an eye out for a red plant in the jungle as you can launch yourself away from the enemy (common sense :)). If you have your ult, you need to keep in mind that it has a channel time. If they auto you in that channel time, you're screwed because you wasted time to channel the ult, and if they are in range to auto you, chances of survive are tiny. Be sure to Q for the slow, get in a bush, and channel ult IMMEDIATELY as you might just be able to survive.
