Hi it's whybother34 known for my Leona and Braum guides. This time i'm back with Brand the mid laner who goes bot. Brand and Zyra are similar due to doing way to much damage for a support. You should be doing highest or second highest damage in the game if not you are doing this wrong/ you fed. However I'll get into the reasons why I play Brand later. Just know that he doesn't work against dive comps he needs to be safe to do his combo and not be scared of the Sun girl diving his fiery butt. One thing to remember with brand, his quote "ready to set the world on fire" is true because with such low cooldowns on your abilities and your w e and ult spreading your fire you will burn everyone.

PROS-
High damage- When your mid laner goes utility pick( Zillian, Karma) or your team has no other AP Brand is a great pick.
Burst- EQWR is enough late game to kill any squishy target
Ranged- Keeping brand away from the minions a safe distance is a great thing for someone so squishy
Low cooldown hard CC- His stun is great and once you get a Rylai's you almost can't miss once you e an enemy. The best CC is death anyways.
CONS-
Squishy- Like almost all ranged support brand is squishy and dies easily if focused
1 Form of CC- until you get a rylai's you only have a stun for CC and the rylai's slow isn't that great so you don't peel.
No utility- No heal shield speed up to help your adc
Combos
Single target damage EQW+ ult if going for kill/teamfight
Waveclear QEW
NEVER W FIRST PAST LEVEL 3. It's scaling is low but if the people are on fire already it does 25% more damage no reason to waste your damage when you can set up the stun with the point and click e.

I, unlike most brand supports max q first. Technically w is better for damage but I prefer having the stun up more against aggressive bot lanes. In a more lax lane like enemy team janna and kog or something like that then I max w first. In lane you don't trade well until level 3. At level 1 you are very very weak so try to avoid fighting at all costs. Use W for poke and pray to get to level 2. At 2 you have a stun but level 3 is where you shine. Once you hit 3 do a normal brand damage combo EQW. You apply the ring of fire from 3 spells on the enemy and you chunk their health bar. If you are clearing lane your combo is QEW to spread the fire with e and w them all. At level 6 You can do EQWR for a great finisher as long as the adc and support are near each other. DO NOT ULT UNLESS PEOPLE ARE TOGETHER. Without that you don't spread your fire and the slow effect from your ult doesn't happen. After you get past 6 and have your support item done, you can start working on those boots and a Rylais.
