Introduction

Welcome! We are going to learn some tips and tricks about the Battle Mistress.
The notable ease of cleaning waves, movespeed and spell shield let Sivir
play an unusual role as a marksman.
This guide is going to help us in some situational choices while, hopefully, climbing your elo.
You must know Sivir doesn't have the higher range, but only 500, which kinda hides its potential.
In this guide, we'll try understand how to lane and team play, explaining the whole kit and talking about the best way to create a late game 'pseudohyper carry'.
Remembere League of Legends isn't a copy paste game. I can't foresee every state, so, feel free to do what your game needs in the right moment.
The Mistress should easily clean her way to wherever she wants if played correctly. Hope you enjoy!

Pros / Cons

Pros


+ Utility

Sivir is, sometimes, a nice pick in solo queue. Wave control, pick off and self protection are hers strongest points. Despite being safe, Sivir can still deal damage to enemies close to minions wave. On The Hunt grants movespeed boost to nearby allies, like Nasus or Darius, who has no good engage at all.
Cons


- Mana shortage on lane phase
- Low AA range
- Team dependent
- High cooldown on E
- Hard to mastery


As per all champions, Sivir has hers strengths and her weaknesses. Compared to other ADCs, this whole kit does not provide that much of early damage. Her damage potential is based in individual mechanics. Sometimes, Sivir is better pushing routes or accelerating allies instead of being the real Battle Mistress.

Precision Runes

Precision is usefull against almost every composition due to Attack Speed, which fits nice with Sivir's kit.

Fleet Footwork
  • Fleet Footwork: Movespeed boost and sustain. Nice to kite, nice to lane phase.

Triumph
  • Triumph: Heals the user and give bonus gold per kill and assist. Sivir's ultimate is an easy way to get at least 5 assists if there's an ace.

Legend: Alacrity

Coup de Grace
  • Coup de Grace: Extra damage to low health enemies. Nice to get the early 2v2 kills.

Sorcery Runes


Celerity
  • Celerity: Sivir runs. A lot. Gain even more movespeed and adaptative damage.

Gathering Storm


Sometimes, i like to get the Nullifying Orb in the second slot against a heavy ap team, but the choice is yours.

Item Sequence

Attack Damage, Attack Speed and the Storm's Edge. Basically, a crit strike and movespeed buff. Buy it as soon as possible.

Movespeed. Also, attack speed. Sometimes Ninja Tabi or Mercury's Treads fits better.

Its two unique passives make it my
preferred choice: Spectral Waltz buffs user's movement speed and Lament increases user's survivability. If you preffer, buy Rapid Firecannon.

Doubles your critical strike chance. Also, deals true damage.

From here, the last two choices are situational. You must choose between penetration, life steal and Guardian Angel, wich I prefer.
Keep yours eyes in Blade of the Ruined King, Bloodthirster, Death's Dance, Mercurial Scimitar and the Last Whisper variances.

Passive: Fleet of Foot

Sivir gains a short burst of Movement Speed when she attacks an enemy champion.

Q: Boomerang Blade

Sivir hurls her crossblade like a boomerang, dealing damage each way.

W: Ricochet

Sivir's next few basic attacks will bounce to nearby targets, dealing reduced damage to secondary targets.

E: Spell Shield

Creates a magical barrier that blocks a single enemy ability cast on Sivir. She receives Mana back if a spell is blocked.

R: On The Hunt

Sivir leads her allies in battle, granting them a surge Movement Speed for a period of time. Additionally passively grants Sivir bonus Attack Speed while Ricochet is active.

Start with W: Ricochet to control wave and poke. Level 2, if you need to press or clear wave fastly get Q: Boomerang Blade. If not, pick E: Spell Shield to stay safe against champions like Blitzcrank, Jhin and Morgana.

Maximize you W. Costs less mana points, deals constant damage to minions wave and also pokes sometimes.
When the Ricochet can't be leveled up, invest in your Q to instant clear waves at the cost of some mana points.

Spell Shield is a pretty usefull skill, but doesn't scale that well (like Q and W does). Leave it with no upgrades.

At level 6, 11 and 16, get the On The Hunt to higher level. Increases the active (movespeed) and passive (attack speed when W is active) effects.

Laning

Laning as Sivir depends a lot on the support, and its theory is kinda easy. When you need to keep the push, use Ricochet and Boomerang Blade if needed. So, when you don't need it... Well, don't use it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Unfortunately, she lacks on range and takes practice (what make laning as Sivir kinda hard, heh).

Sivir, sometimes, struggles a little because of her mana dependence. When you're safe enough, bait some skills with the Spell Shield to regain a little mana and keep the lane controlled.

Trading 2v2 is a little bit complicated. Your E changes almost every situation, avoid some CC with it. Also, Sivir must aim her Q where there are no minions to maximum damage dealing. Once you hit an enemy, instant activating your W will reset the auto attack animation, damaging twice.

Remember the pick off potential afforded by On The Hunt and try to hunt your enemy adc whenever his support is gone.

Team Work

Sivir's pushing potential is amazing, cleaning most everything hitting three times (W: Ricochet). With the right vision control, she can push one side lane and head to mid to exert her pressure.
Also, Battle Mistress has a vesatile ultimate: On The Hunt. This benefits starters with mediocre engages (i.e. Garen), works as disengage and supports running away when spliting side lanes.

Late game as Sivir is somewhat unfair. She hits hard, runs and blocks engages once. Try to control the waves, aways keeping yourself safe and you'll be fine.
