You should be fine before she hits level 6, when she does care for q - r onto minions then you. She will start w, so poking her is nearly useless.

Champion Build Guide
Yes I will explain why I prefer, and almost always pick electrocute into any matchups.
I'll also leave my socials here eventually, and a updated rank stat for my profile.

I haven't been playing Lux for the longest of time, but I've played LoL since season 2, and Lux since season 6.
I occasionally stream on Twitch, and I also have a YouTube, where I upload a few games, every now and then.
I often get questioned for my rune, electrocute, I often tend to laugh it off, but I genuinely appreciate people's feedback and opinions.
Q:
Why do you like Lux so much? |
A: Lux is really fun to play, due to her long rang, and high damage output. Lux is quite squishy and dosn't have any escapes except for flash, so if you outplay someone, it feels extremely good *insert smiley here* |
Q:
What's your favourite skin? |
A: For Lux I have a few opinions, because some of her splash arts look better in game than on the art itself. So my favourite splash art for Lux is the
Spellthief Lux
, and my favourite in game skin, is
Battle Academia Lux
. |
Pros
|
+ Easy to pick up + Long range abilities + Strong poke + Decent utility in kit + Synergises well with cc + Great scalings on abilities |
. | If she's able to get her hands on lost chapter early, or a full Luden's Tempest towards 15 minutes, she'll have a strong lead, and can most definitely one shot anyone without magic resist, regardless of rune taken. Lux's R, Final Spark has a 100% ap scaling as of patch v9.14, this is extremely convinient for her, and makes ability items even stronger for her damage output. Final Spark has an extremely low cooldown, and being able to throw a 100% ap ratio ability often is beyond strong. Going her glass canon is my personal preference as you're basically playing russian roulette with yourself, wheter you're able to avoid being caught, or popping their carries. |

Cons
|
- Hard to master - Extremely squishy - Small room for mistakes - Only escapes is CC/Flash - High mana costs - Long CD's early game |
Lux is a mage with a ginormous range, only outranged by xerath, but to make up for that she's quite squishy. If Lux builds a lot of defensive items she will become quite useless, unless she's able to continuously poke enemies low. Even though she might build tanky, her base stats are not designed for it, and getting caught out as Lux, is always a bad thing. You'll get popped almost instantly, as she lacks escapes, other than Flash and CC from Q & E. Her early game isn't much to flex either, she's weak in laning phase pre-6 due semi-decent wave clear. In addition she deals minimal damage to enemies early due to her low base damage early. To get a trade that's worthy you have to actively proc passive or runes. |
.
Laning phase potential: Strong Speciality: Oneshot potential Why electrocute? Because my playstyle has adapted to the proc of electrocute. I can run runes like arcane comet or aery, but I tend to forget I'm not running electrocute whenever I'm going in for a trade/poke. Keep reading, to figure out how to utilize electrocute. |
