Hi, my name is Elixr and this is my first guide EVER. I've been in the LoL community now since the Lulu patch and I've seen some wacky stuff in League of Legends. So I thought I'd add to that. This is my support Ryze guide and somehow I believe it works; to an extent.

We've all seen mid lane Ryze and his power and dominance there but I believe with Ryze's Rune Prison and Overload he can dominate as a support with an on-command snare and constant harrass. In this guide I will explain the usefulness of Support Ryze to a team and how to use him efficiently. Let's get started.

Summoners

This is really great for ensuring you obtain the kill on the enemy carry. Right after you Rune Prison use Exhaust and the carry won't be getting away anytime soon.

If you can pull Heal off at the exact right time it can save lives and that's always good if you're a support.

Since you're not in the mid lane you're going to have to run a long way back to your turret Ghost can aid this but I believe Flash is truly more viable.

Flash is great for engaging and disengaging what more could you want on a support?

Runes

This will give you even more mana sustain and some damage a great choice for Ryze

Minimizes damage from the enemy carry, always great to have on a support.

If you're going to trade with the enemy support then this is great to have.

Standard support rune, necessary for you and all supports alike.

Masteries

Nothing much to really say about these masteries, standard on most supports in the Season 3 patch.

Items

On support Ryze I like to max my Rune Prison because it has the most use in support Ryze play.
