Introduction

Hello once again my friends, this is sogeking74 and I'm going to be talking about Ahri, the Nine Tailed Fox. Ahri is a fantastic but under-played champion. She is usually dominant in lane if you land skill shots, and is a great farmer and finisher. She does exceptionally well in team-fights, as she can engage, catch up and finish in the blink of an eye.

Masteries

Following a 21-0-9 mastery tree, I take all the possible AP masteries ( Mental Force , Sorcery, Arcane Knowledge , Blast , Archmage , and Executioner , with two points in Havoc, and one in Summoner's Wrath). This is so that early game I can dominate opponents. Many also take 9-0-21, but I prefer to have more damage rather than utility. Ahri is dominant throughout if she has a really solid early game, and you can farm more if you injure people like Anivia, since they are really squishy.

Runes

Similar to my Leblanc Guide (which you can find here...), I take Magic Pen Marks Greater Mark of Magic Penetration, Mana Regen per level seals Greater Seal of Scaling Mana Regeneration, flat Ability Power glyphs Greater Glyph of Ability Power, and flat Ability Power Quintessences Greater Quintessence of Ability Power. This helps max damage early game, which is crucial with , and helps you sustain earlier if you don't grab mana-regen items.

Items

Always always start with Boots and 3 Health Potions. It's so important to be mobile (avoiding early ganks) and to be able to dodge harass ( , other 's, , etc.) In lane, just try and last hit. It's good to grab CDR like Morello's Evil Tome because you need your ultimate whenever possible. Being able to spam Orb of Deception and Fox-Fire is also important because of the damage of the damage. Rabadon's Deathcap is a must have. I take Sorcerer's Shoes because magic pen is important on tanks and it goes well with the true damage. Some like Ionian Boots of Lucidity, but if you really want all that CDR, get a Frozen Heart or something. Will of the Ancients compliments Ahri's passive beautifully, and Rylai's Crystal Scepter will help make you tanky and the slow is superrrr helpful.

Max your Q first. It's such an amazing ability, and is Ahri's main harass/damage dealer. is great in combo, and is just cheap sometimes, so it's up to you to decide between or . I personally get most of the time, but every now and then if I need more damage. If you have lots of ganks coming in, grab Charm because this is your only CC.

Summoner Spells

is an amazing summoner spell, even on the un-gankable Ahri. Over walls and whatnot, it's the best in the game and helps pull off epic escapes. I also take . If you are comboing, Charm, Orb of Deception, Fox Fire, and all 3 uses of Spirit Rush sometimes isn't enough. The Ignite will finish off the kill, and you will thank the lord for the healing reduction vs. people like Warwick, Mundo etc.

Pros / Cons

Pros: Great Combos, True Damage, Easy to get away, un-gankable after 6, great assassin, fun to play, abilities prioritize champions

Cons: Dependant on skill shots, minions get in the way of E, squishy, ratios are low, When you do bad it's hard to get back in,

Harass

Ahri has the easiest combos, and deals such massive damage with it. First, start with a , hit them with your and hit , and then go back to farming. Once they get low, and you hit 6, use the same combo, and then just ult next to them, and then again, ignite, and auto attack. If they arent close enough to dead that ignite wont get them, ult again. if they are, then use the 3rd point of your ult to get away from their turret, or away from a gank. If the opponent starts with a dorans ring/ dorans blade/ dorans shield, or if they don't have health pots, try to do this more often, it will give you free farming time, because they'll have to go back to base to heal. If they don't, it's an easy kill.

Counters

Ahri is one of those champs who can be easily countered by Boots early game, and dodging skills (obviously). I also think that Kassadin counters Ahri, because of how cheap he is at 6 with . It counters Ahri's Spirit Rush(thank God that he usually gets banned in ranked ;D) Also, people say LeBlanc counters Ahri as well, but I've never really witnessed it. It's probably because of constant silences, but that's for you to see.
