Introduction

Hey there, this is an Akali guide and I'm gonna keep this guide really really short. Explaining only the build that I've created, the reasons behind it. For details about gameplay, early game, mid game, late game. please visit the top rated guides on Akali.

This is my very first personal build and guide on any heroes

PLEASE RATE!
PLEASE GIVE COMMENTS!

For those who wants to rate down this, Please leave a reason in the comments section below.

I might do a full detailed guide in the future.

Also, Kindly note that this guide is still in beta phase and I've started testing other item builds and I'll be updating this guide constantly. If you have any suggestions, feel free to leave them in the comments section below.

Summoner Spells

I picked Exhaust and Ghost.

Exhaust - It is good for slowing and reducing damage of opponent [Especially in high dps heroes]

Ghost - I've picked Ghost over Flash because I feel that it's not as realible as Ghost in escaping. When in danger, drop twilight shroud, wait for an opening to escape (Activate Ghost) By this time, the movement boost from boots of mobility should kick in, granting you uber fast movement speed to escape. [Enhanced Movement 5 stacking on 35% movement boost from Ghost]

Flash - Another excellent alternative to Ghost, Flashing over wall and flash in early game laning to prevent getting killed. Use this if you're experienced enough in flashing over walls to escape.

Runes

x9 Greater Mark of Insight - 8.55% Magic Penetration ignoring opponent's magic resist = more magic damage dealt

x9 Greater Seal of Evasion - 6.75% Dodge rate, I picked this over flat hp because I feel that 6.75% dodge is better than 45 flat hp. A normal hit from an opponent obviously deals you more than 45 hp, therefore just dodging once already makes it better. [Total of 8.75% dodge, 2% dodge from mastery], Actual dodge rate: 8.615% (Thanks to the weird dodge calculation mechanics)

x9 Greater Glyph of Force - I picked this over Greater Glyph of Potency because it's better IMO and I feel that it is quite pointless in activating her passive of 10% magic damage at level 1 for the low ap you have in the early game. All the other guides that I've seen picked Greater Glyph of Potency to activate her ability at level 1.

To Explain in details, lets work this out in numbers.

Greater Glyph of Potency x9 = 0.99AP x 9 = 8.91 AP [Level 18 = 8.91 AP]

At level 1 = 8.91 AP + 14.85 + 0.6 AP = 24.36 AP
(0.6 AP from mastery) [Ability Requirement of 20 AP activated]
At level 6 = 8.91 AP + 14.85 + 3.6 AP = 27.36 AP (3.6 AP from mastery)

Greater Glyph of Force x9 = 0.17 x 9 = 1.53 AP per level [Level 18 = 27.54 AP]
Now from the 0.6 AP per level from mastery, lets combine the both effects together, 0.6 AP + 1.53 AP per level = 2.13 AP per level

At level 1 = 2.13 AP + 14.85 = 16.98 AP [Ability not Activated]
At level 3 = 6.39 AP + 14.85 = 21.24 AP [Ability Activated]
At level 6 = 12.78 AP + 14.85 = 27.63 AP

As you can see, by level 3, you can activate your ability without the help of any additonal items, just leveling to level 3 will activate your ability and by level 6 and beyond, you will exceed the advantage of others who went for Greater glyph of potency x9. Level 6 and beyond, is when your hunting begins.

x3 Greater Quint of Potency - Granting 14.85 AP, making you need only 6.15 AP to activate your passive ability

Masteries

I feel that Akali is squishy and she needs all the hp and defence she can get. +1 Attack damage is to activate her passive with doran's blade. I feel that doran blade is way better because, the other guides who did not went for this +1 Attack damage, gets a long sword. Doran's blade gives 100 Health and 3% lifesteal which is very significant in the early game.

For those who took Flash instead of Ghost, you can put that extra 1 point into Ardor. Ardor is an extremely good mastery for Akali. I might do another build in maxing Ardor.

Items

If you seen this guide, you would probably have seen the top rated guides on Akali.

Here, I'm just gonna explain why I picked this item over the other item or why the sequence is in this order.

This is the first item you will get because it will boost your damage significantly and more lifesteal. Without this, it's hard to try even going for a build. Work your way up, dun try to fly before you crawl!

I picked this over Boots of Swiftness because I feel that Boots of Swiftness is just not swift enough. Read the summoner's spell of Ghost for details.

This Item is CORE for Akali, grants much needed AP of 80, GREATLY needed Health of 500 and 35% Slow on spell damage.

This item is just plain cheap and good. The bonus AP of 48 and Atk speed can be easily activated and it's such a good item for a burst damage hero like Akali.

This item greatly boosts your AP and magic damage, making you a burst killer.

After using an ability, your next physical attack does the normal Attack + your AP in damage. By this time, you would have 500 AP+, thanks to your Deathcap. Just by throwing Q and hitting your opponent deals over 1000 damage. [Skill trigger dmg + normal atk dmg + bonus AP dmg]

This item is last because it is just not as useful as one may think. The 300 magic damage is great and 50% slow for 3 seconds may sound great to have. But Rylai's Crystal Secepter is just way better in providing a 35% slow on Spell damage. Slowing an opponent with your ulti is key in hunting down them.

Alternative
If your opponents have too much magic resist or have many tanky heroes on the field, get a instead of

If you do not like running around hunting for targets and prefer straight up damage dealer, go for

These 2 items are the most needed core items in almost all akali builds.

Please note that this item build is not the best build out there and it's still in beta testing phase. I've been testing other items such as Void Staff & Abyssal Specter.

Gameplay

Core Rules = Never initate a teamfight by diving into them, you will be targeted and killed in a couple of seconds before your teammates can react and save your ***.

ALWAYS DIVE INTO A FIGHT THAT HAS ALREADY STARTED, IN THIS WAY, YOU WILL NOT BE TARGETED AND YOUR JOB IS TO PICK OFF THOSE SUISHY HEROES, AND CHASE DOWN THOSE HEROES RUNNING AWAY, PREVENTING THEM FROM ESCAPING!

STRIKE FROM THE SHADOWS!

Summary

This guide is probably an attempt to differ from the top rated guides. For I personally feel that it's better in this way than the 2 top guides of Akali currently. [IMO]

Those guides are namely :
Akali - Ready and Willing &
Akali - You were trying to kill who!?

PLEASE LEAVE YOUR COMMENTS!

I'll do an detailed guide on her in the future if I get comments and opinions.
