Alistar is one of the best tanks in game (maybe the best) and a very good support too. If you play Alistar you must know the fact, that you will have more assists than kills, so if you dont like assisting, dont paly this champ. While laning with Alistar, people are used to love him. I heard many times "I love you Alistar" or "Your the best support" ;) This guide will also be written like playing for support Alistar, so dont expect tons of damage and neither early game. When I play like Alistar, I have stats for example 2/0/20 so dont be greedy and just help your alies. Is better to have 2 assists and no death as 1 kill and 1 death.

Alistar smashes the ground, dealing 60/105/150/195/240 (+80% AP) magic damage, tossing enemy into the air and stun them for 0.5 sec after landing.
This ability is very useful in teamfights, because of AoE stun and can be also used to disable enemy casting ultimate, or whatever. Early game it may help your partner to catch the enemy and kill him.

Alistar charges at the enemy, rams them for 90/140/190/245/300 (+100% AP) magic damage and knocks them back.
If you are smart, this ability has many uses. I am used to knock enemy into your turret and use Pulverize then. You can also use this ability while pursuing the enemy, but make sure they will bump into a wall or else you can help them a lot or this can be even used to finish the low HP enemy. If the enemy is near to the thick wall, you can throw him behind the wall what will make him angry and will take a lot of time to come back.

Restores 60/90/120/150/180 (+40% AP) HP to Alistar adn half of this amount to alies around you (minions too).
Early game very useful to heal minions near turret and push longer this way. You can also heal your teammate to save him.

Reduces 75% damage for 6/7/8 sec and Alistar gains 60/75/90 physical damage.
Alistar is all about this ability. When you are initiating a team fight, when you are pushing a turret or even turret dive, use it! You can also use this to make tricks like come to the turret and Headbutt enemy to your teammates to kill him or to tank turret, while your alies are killing enemies around it. With this ability enemies are not safe even near turrets.

Use of abilities (order):

Alistar has no fixed combo. You must be smart and use your abilities how you think it will be the best. For example Pulverize the enemy, go behind him and Headbutt him into your turret, or partner on lane. You can spam Triumphant Roar to do AoE damage around you from your passive or even poke enemies with single Headbutt
But there is one combo to initiate a team fight. It is like this Headbutt into a group of enemies -> Pulverize them, pop up your Unbreakable Will and wait until your teammates kill while they will be focusing you, trying to kill you (They have no chance to kill you tru' 75% reduce damage and resistances)

Summoner spells:

I use because you can move fast without +5 boots or save your turret many times, because nobody dares to kill Alistar near turret. If they do, they will die without kill.
The second SS is in case that with Heal + Triumphant Roar you can restore a big amount of health and surprise enemies in team fight so they will try to run away without kill. This is very important for Alistar.
You can also use to jumo behind your target and Headbutt it into a correct direction or run away from fight, but Im not used to run away with Alistar very often.
In case that Alistar is a pusher, it's useless to chose , because you won't pursue enemies and if you will, you can use Headbutt or Shurelya's Reverie

Alistar is very dependant on his cooldowns so you need to reach a CDR cap (40%) first. Thats why you have to buy Shurelya's Reverie and very soon. Next you will need just MGR, Armor and HP. As boots I have chosen because they have MGR, but if there won't be any caster champ against you, you rather choose . Next Warmong's armor because of it's health and health regen (Fits for every tank) and to profit more from your Triumphant Roar (+15% more heal) and finaly Sunfire's Cape which is very usefull in combination with Alistar's passive and also boosts your armor and HP.

If you want to do more damage, you can change and Sunfire's Cape for + . You won't notice a difference, because 15% more heal from will be replaced by more AP what increases your Triumphant Roar
Sunfire's Capecan also be replaced with if you are against melee champs. It can cause a crazy dmg to them.
