Laning Phase
Now, as you are fighting for level 2, you might get poked which is NORMAL. That's why you have BISCUITS. So all you have to do is pop a biscuit while you help the adc farm up the wave. If you chose to start with relic shield, this is even easier because your stacks will heal you as well and give the minion gold to both you and the adc. So again, get to lane, get level 2, engage! If the enemy bot lane will get level 2 before you (which will happen, it's okay), just RESPECT their level 2. Just back the F*ck up and safely farm. Don't EVER try to fight them when they a level over you in the early game. EVER.
Once the level 2 fight is over, or if it never happened and you are both just farming, look for an opportunity to go all in. This does NOT mean, try to get the kill, this means be smart about going in. One of the worse things you can do (and I see this happen a LOT) is go in with your W + Q combo at the wrong time. Here's a list of when you should go aggressive:
1. The enemy jungler is seen somewhere OTHER than bot lane
2. The ally jungler is seen coming for a gank
3. Enemy ADC is alone
4. You are ahead and can win a 2v3
If NONE of these apply, DO NOT GO IN. Alistar is a champion who is really good at both engaging and disengaging but not when his skills are on cooldown. This is why you must correctly pick and chose when it is right to go in and not. For example, if you go in without knowing where the enemy Lee Sin* jungle is, there's a really good chance you just went into a 2v3. Unless your ADC is super fed and can actually fight that, you just died or burned flash/exhaust to make it out alive.
Once the laning phase is over (turret is down), you will move into the mid game which will include you roaming with the jungle for vision control and for objectives. One of my favorite things to do when my bot lane gets turret is try to set up for dragon or lane swap with our top laner so that we can push for the top lane turret.
When do we roam?? A lot of the times, I start to roam after my first or second back. This does not mean that I completely ignore my bot lane. What I do is walk down towards mid and look for a gank opportunity. If my jungler is near, we can usually get a 2 man gank in mid and force some summoners from the enemy mid laner. Once that is done, I'll make my way to bottom again. When roaming, it is important to let your ADC know so that they can play safer. I know that it's obvious but trust me, you want to tell them before they fight 1v2 and blame it on you for not being there.
