Introduction

Welcome to my Anivia guide! I'm not the best Anivia EUNE, but I think I'm good with her so let's get started.

Runes

You already have runes up there. As I wrote in notes, I'm probably worst player on League if it comes to runes. I've got flat AP and currently I'm collecting IP to buy some. So if you wanna guide with perfect runes, turn back :P
Back to Top

Masteries

I prefer taking as much AP damage as possible, with Dangerous Game and Executioner . However, I put 1 point into Scout , in case of losing lane and getting ganked much, or in case of winning lane and warding not being noticed.

Items

Anivia is AP champion <no sheet sherlock> so basic midlaner build should work, but I like to get some health with Rylai's Crystal Scepter, Liandry's Torment and Rod of Ages.

Skill Sequence

Anivia's E power is doubled if hit by Glacial Storm or Flash Frost. Max E first. Q's stun duration increases with ability level, so max Q second. W's lenght increases too, so max W last. Put point into R when you can.

Spells

Anivia's basic ability is Rebirth. When Anivia takes lethal damage, she reverts into an egg. If she survives for 6 seconds, she is brought back to life. Cooldown on egg is 4 minutes. It IS NOT affected by cooldown reduction.

Flash Frost is a skillshot ability which deals damage on the way, and upon detonation with clicking Q one more time. Detonation also happens when Q reaches maximum range. It stuns enemy aoe around Q's detonation range.

Crystallize creates a wall which you can't pass. Lenght increases with ability levels. It moves units, and that means you can reveal hidden Teemo, or troll teammates when they are recalling/teleporting :> Don't use it on teleporting ones, it puts tp on cooldown :D

Frostbite is homing ability and it deals enormous damage if used correctly. E's damage is doubled if used on enemy afflicted by Q or R before. In late game you can reach 1000 damage, wait 5 seconds and do this 1000 dmg again.

Glacial Storm is AOE spell which deals damage every second. It slows enemies inside of it. It can stay until your mana is consumed, or you turn it off. You know what it means... URF! 6 second cooldown is very pleasing.

Pros / Cons

Pros
- Low cooldowns on Frostbite and Glacial Storm
- Suprise Rebirth when dove by enemy
- Good escape ( Flash Frost, Crystallize, Glacial Storm)
- Extremely high burst due to Frostbite

Cons
- High cooldown on Rebirth
- No mobility, Flash necessary
- Slow
- Mana consuming, take blue buff often
- VERY bad farming

Creeping / Jungling

In early game, save your mana and try to use basic attacks. In case of minion group, you should be able to take whole with Flash Frost when they are close to themselves. In mid game use more spells, for example Glacial Storm but still don't be wasteful. On late game clear minions with Flash Frost and Glacial Storm. If you are versus super minions use Frostbite on afflicted by Flash Frost or Glacial Storm.

Team Work

Try to stun enemies chasing your team or running away. You can block them with Crystallize, but be very careful about accidentally placing wall behind when chasing enemies. It will let them escape, and block your team. The same with running away - you can try to block enemy... and you will block enemy with teammate. So use Crystallize smart.

Basic Combo/Strategy

Anivia's before 6 lvl combo is Q+E, but if you miss Q give up on E. It will deal low damage. Use Frostbite only if enemy is hit by Flash Frost first. After lvl 6, you have much more ways to make your combo.

Poke
Target enemy with Frostbite and if you use it, immediately place Glacial Storm under enemy, before Frostbite strikes enemy. Frostbite should travel long enough to hit enemy afflicted by Glacial Storm. Then turn off Glacial Storm.

1 v 1
First, recognize the enemy. If that's champion that has dash/jump to you, place Glacial Storm under you. Champion will dash to you, and that means he'll dash into Glacial Storm. Don't use any ability until enemy will use dash to you. Then use Frostbite, and strike twice (explanation on the end) with Flash Frost. Enemy is stunned, so place Crystallize when he tries to run. This will make him stay in Glacial Storm longer. When he finally escapes Glacial Storm, turn it off. Your Frostbite should be ready. Chase and wait for Flash Frost or Glacial Storm. Then cast another Frostbite using method "poke", which I mentioned before, or stun + E to secure kill. If you are low HP when 1 v 1 keep your finger on Flash so you can escape, and combine it with Ignite while Glacial Storm is still on. Enemy will die due to over-time damage.
If enemy hasn't got any dash, use Glacial Storm on him, and rest of combo is the same.

Strike with Flash Frost twice
So, the point is to deal damage:
When travelling,
and on detonation.
To do this you have to detonate Flash Frost right behind enemy. It will stun enemy too. If you didn't stun enemy, you didn't land 2nd strike too.

Summoner Spells

The best working
Flash is the best summoner spell on Anivia, and on almost every champion. Escape? Flash out. Chase? Flash in.
Ignite works very well with Anivia's Glacial Storm because of overtime damage. It allows you to pick up first blood easily.
Played rarely
Ghost can come in handy when playing as support, because of Crystallize. I don't think that replacing Ignite with Ghost is good, and Flash is MUST on Anivia due to null mobility from spells.
Exhaust is best secondary summoner spell if you are playing Anivia support. When ADC is present on lane, Flash Frost + Crystallize + Exhaust + Glacial Storm and enemy is dead.

That's all for Summoner spells. I think other are useless, but that's just my opinion.

That's all :>

Okay, so that would be all for my Anivia guide. It's my 1st guide on Mobafire, I hope you liked it. I don't really know what to put here now, so have fun with Anivia :)
