Introduction
Welcome, summoner! This is my guide to playing AP(carry) Sona. A combination that is often underrated, but nevertheless very strong. In this guide I will explain everything about playing AP Sona, what to do and what not.
I will soon add a video of game compilations which show Sona's hidden power!
Pros:
- Has a duo-target Q with low cooldown
- Gives herself and her team good sustain
- An AOE stun!
- Her power chord deals tons of damage with
Lich Bane
- Very fun to play
Cons:
- Very squishy (especially early game)
- Easily countered by champions like Kassadin and Annie

As AP Sona you should focus on leveling your Q first. This because it it your main damage spell. Your heal should be maxed second, because it gives you a lot of sustain.

Your combo in lane should be Q - autoattack (powerchord). To charge your power chord use 2 spells, and then use the combo for maximum damage.
AP Sona is not often seen in normal games. Mostly because she is considered only as a support, helping the ADC get kills and CS. As a result, her power is truly underestimated.
Playing AP Sona is lots of fun, especially mid- and late game. Because of her squishiness early game (she starts with the lowest amount of health of all champions), you should be very careful and not overextend. This may sound boring, but when you have got your Lich Bane and Athene's Unholy Grail the fun starts.
Here are some tips n' tricks for early, mid- and lategame:
Early game:
[*] Never overextend your lane, especially if they have a jungler. Sona doesn't have many escape abilities early game, and will be an easy target for ganks.
[*] Poke your enemy with your Q and Power chord. Your power chord will be active when you have used 3 of your spells. It's effect depends on your activated aura.
