But um, AP tanks like Amumu and Rammus are good coz of their scalings and there are a lot of items that give a fair amount of armor, magic resist, and hp, as well as ap to boost your power, you'll be less tanky but hit a lot harder. I usually get sunfire as my main tank item, but it sometimes vary depending on the enemy comp, like thornmail if they have 3 melees (or just master yi, **** i hate him) and banshees if they have 3 casters
